True Cindy I agree. What I was actually thinking is if Baby is working on off event times when its slower a longer emote would keep the client there and happier thus encouraging tips. Obviously during busy times or events there is enough chat going on that something of that lenght will get missed or look like spam.

Maybe try working in the morning. I know a few dancers in the EU who do that... the US has more of a tipping tradition than Europe (from what i understand) and by working mornings you can take advantage of that.

If you do that you might want to try using some British slang in Your emotes, that would set you apart from the rest and maybe make you a bit exotic from the US viewpoint.

DON'T use long emotes... people are too lazy to read them.

DON'T emote too much, some dancers almost become little spam machines spitting out emotes every few mins.

DO pay attention to what is happening in the club, take part of the conversations, take cues from the songs being played and work them into your actions.

DO learn what the guests like (and they are guests not "marks") Person A might tip if you flirt with a girl, person B might tip of you do something that would make them blush. Oh and don't forget to flirt with the girls too.

DO treat everybody the same. The noob who tipped you the only L$ 5 he had, the person who tipped you L$2500, and the person who didn't tip you because they were broke at the moment all should be treated the same.

DO have fun dancing... that is really all that matters

Jumping in, you might want to try what guys call peacocking. I think one of the reasons Xiomara did better with the retro lingerie is that she stood out. Peacocking is a pick-up technique which involves adding an odd or unique accessory to their outfit to make them different. It makes them stand out and sets some difference between them and the people around them. In my experience, if a girl has a unique vibe, she'll be more intriguing and draw attention. Supermodels tend to have something different and odd about their faces, lead dancers tend to have different colored leotards or something... change your hair color to something wild (but still pretty of course!), or wear some very odd and different shoes (heels? All the girls are wearing heels, how about lace lingerie with army boots!)... along with all the other advice in this thread that should help you be more memorable.

Edit: The British slang too, that's another way to be unique as Johnnie said. If you use voice at all, your accent will be a very big draw to yankees

The other thing you said 3 days. It takes time to develop a following.
Also remember every customer has their tastes. Some like red heads other blonds and so forth.

If you are allowed to pick your clothing, Mix it up, nothing says I don't give a dam like wearing the same outfit every day.

Hang in there you will get it. It's not rocket science but you do have to think.

Is that the pic you are going to use for your profile? It's going to get squashed Profile pics need to have an aspect ratio of 4:3. And if you plan on adding some picks pictures, their ratio needs to be 16:9

Best size for a profile pic is 400 x 300 pixels, because it's the correct ratio and its small so it till load faster... that pic above is 500 x 700 pixels so you're going to look shorter if you use it.

This page saves lives - it lists all the ratios for the various places one uses pictures...

ETA: that link Cindy added to your profile illustrates the problem - you've lost your lovely shape because it got squashed Re-arrange and crop your picture so it's 4:3 and if you need any help with that, send me a PM.

As for a translator, the Babbler sucks pretty much. It spams a lot and is quite difficult to use. The x-lang was recommended to me recently and I found it fast, nowhere near as spammy and very easy to set up. You can get a free demo from SLX/Xstreet here. It's $500 to buy and if you have a multi-lingual clientele I expect this will be a worthwhile investment.

Hi Roxie thanks for the comments and i completely see where your coming from. I really do try hard too talk with the others in the room whether it's a man or a woman i'll talk and flirt with either. That's just the way i am i guess lol but i did notice something while i was dancing last night i find it very easy too come up with a conversation when the person gives me something too talk about.

Maybe i was struggling because the really did not want me too talk, once i got over the basic questions and all they answered was the simple yes and no. I was kinda stumped what too ask next but i was talking too a guy last night and it worked much easier and much better

I've also changed clubs and joined one where a old friend of mine works. Stocking Tops and i did make a few tips last night and we had generally talked too each other as well as the customers. It was actually alot more fun lol.

I definently try and change my outfit daily or mix them up etc. I'd never wear the same outfit more than once in a week etc.

Actually, I agree with this strategy if you are in the market for strange and/or have an open SL (or no SL) relationship. Prevents things getting messy for the main. I just can't fathom the having to pay for it part. Although I guess if you factor in the outfits and shoes you have purchased so that someone you are with looks exactly the way you want, it's kind of like the SL version of the RL "everyone pays for it" theory. You know the one where they add up the cost of dates and dinner and basically say "you are paying for it too so why not just buy it and be done with it" articles.

Brave from the escort side of it i'm told by others that most are willing too pay for the companionship side or like Xiomara said too cheat on their partners.
