OSS Abuse & Misuse Guidelines

Finally, some clear-cut and unambiguous guidelines concerning use of Open Space sims.

Prim Usage

Allowable: 3750 prims may be used for landscaping items such as rocks, trees, plants, umm, more rocks, more trees and plants, oh yes, and a house as long as you don't live there.

Misuse: Any prims used for building a house you live in.

Avatar Presence

Allowable: Passing through the sim or hanging around to fish or hike for a few hours

Misuse: Living in the sim for a few hours

Allowable: As many avatars as happen to coincidentally be using the same sim for recreational use, for however long they are recreating.

Misuse: Inviting some friends over to where you live.

Script Resources

Allowable: Whatever your avatar is wearing when you pass through the sim for a few hours, even sim-killing weaponry and vehicles, sure why not?

Misuse: Any scripts that you might use if you're living on the sim, like a door opening and closing or window tinting.

So if I had Magical Fun Fairy Fishing Island with scripted trees, elves and dragons around every corner that would be ok, as long I didn't live their of course!

Makes sense, sure it does,

Where did these guidelines originate?

Okay, I'm good then. I only use my OSS to fish and walk through forests. The house is just there as a conversation piece.

I'm such a butterbrain.

My predictions are loads of senseless explanation, no grandfathering, strict guidelines that will never be enforced, and if a 2:1 option is offered, it'll cost $195/mo.

The short version is higher cost and no experiential improvement.
