professional shopper? (men's clothes)

Is there a such thing as a Professional shopper in SL ?

Look, I'm a guy. In RL I go to one store, pick up a couple pants and several shirts and I'm back in my car in 30 minutes!

I just spent an hour looking for men's clothes in SL and found nothing. Spending hours on the computer to shop in virtual stores for virtual clothes for an Avatar is just not my idea of fun ;-)

Is there a single store were I can spend 30 minutes and come away with some decent clothes? If not, I'm seriouis about this pro shopper thing. Are there people I could pay to shop? Let them do the work so I can look good ;-)

thanks.

ZOMG, If my experience is any indication every woman you meet will beg to take you shopping.

Either this says something about women in SL, or something about the way I dress.

Well, I think I should start with just basic regular stuff. I haven't decided what age I am <g> , let's say between 30 and 40. Basic wardrobe:

1. typical jeans
2 couple of normal T shirts
3 maybe an aging, grown up, semi grunge look
4. maybe a neo hippie thing
5. a nice suit
6 something for visiting the tough inner city areas of SL
7 an academic professor, psychologist type look

Also looking for a pony tail, van dyke beard and some northern European pale skin.

thanks

Nomine for the skin or FNKY/Cake
hoorenbeek for the clothing/shoes
Outlaw Hair from Cake
FNKY For tshirts.

Also check out a sim called "The Block"

Actually I am not too fond of Aitui. They put their label on the back of their suit jackets and I'm not buying clothing to advertise for them. Jeans that's acceptable. Small tags on the back of tshirts the same. But it's pretty big on Aitui

Damn, I spend so much time in the various clothing stores of SL that *I* should go into business as a professional shopper.

Hey, maybe I've finally found my job on SL. But what would I charge for this sort of service?
For the professor look, head to Hoorenbeek (sp?) they have everything you need along that line.
For the urban look, one place I'd recommend would be Mechanism. Another would be Dutch Touch.

Do NOT spend Lindens on Tshirts and jeans. You can find lots of quality stuff in that area for free. Save your Lindens for skin and hair.
GO to Maschienenwerk for oodles of free jeans and T-shirts, also male shapes and some skins.

For men's hair I would recommend Uncleweb or Bryce; both specialize in men's hair.

Yeah I know what you mean. Only thing I really wear from there are the jeans and some tshirts ... maybe the hoodies once in a while. I've noticed the tag on the jeans, not so much on the shirts ... then again, I usually have a blazer or something on top of em.

Their blazers have the logo. For jeans I usually hit DMC, FORM, or Kal Rau. There is a new clothing store called Calyspo Giano with has pretty good jeans

sweet, thanks, I'll check out the new spot.

massimo! has some good blazer sets... the one i've been enjoying lately is from Muisim (sp?). The quirky thing now when shopping is to find designers who provide every possible layer option for the shirt you want >.>

Second Guy Clothiers mall in Sweetgrass pulls the best of men's fashion design into one location.

Casual, formal, clothing, shoes, skins, hair.

Sheesh.

Muism is nice for photography clothing. I don't like how their flexi attachments move when you're walking.

Cubic Effect has awesome jeans and lovely sculplty jackets. I would recommend them very strongly-- every guy-friend I've set up in SL has loved their leather jackets.

That's really personal preference though...I have some skirts and things that I don't like the flexi on either, but which are fine by other people.

I was just wandering around Frozen Turquoise Valentine and their menswear may be worth checking out. I know the women's stuff is nice, and the men's clothing seems to be as well. I haven't actually seen it on an av though.

Plunder Airship Outpost has a really cool collection of stores thats worth taking a look at. Dancien mentioned The Block and I would second that. Brogear and Sidewalk are two other stores that are worth looking at as well.
