On 1 you may be right. I distinctly remember buying a no-mod shape from them and then I guess I deleted it.

Wow, is this sheer coincidence, or did you read the post I wrote for karls freebie blog this morning? I found it by chance, and blogged about that, plus the one next door. Free For Men There were some nice shirts in the box at Young Urban too.

The OP asked about ponytail hair for guys - Wonderhair has 3 mens ponytail styles, one of which, Brad, I really like (although they don't do a colour to suit me).

Cool. Well thanks for the heads up. I haven't been to either in awhile. I will have to check them out again as that was the only thing keeping me out of there.

I'm like Daman. In RL I rarely go shopping for clothes (yes a gay man who has little interest in dressing fashionably *gasp* clutches heart)..I would describe my style as "utilitarian academic") but in SL I am an avatar obsessed with filling my inventory with great clothes. It's like my alts are my alter ego, fascinating to me.

Dear God no! Tuxedos are one of those things where if you wait patiently for a few months, you can pick up a well-made freebie. Also, there are often freebies available at SL's many ballroom dance areas (e.g. the Galaxy cruise liner's ballroom has a nice tux with gold trim, I believe).

I would toss basic black tuxedos onto the list with jeans and T-shirts as items you should be able to get for nothing, unless there is a very particular style you MUST have. Good suits are a different matter, it's worth it to spend money on at least one good suit (just as in RL). I know of a place in an Italian sim that has flexi jackets that drape beautifully, but I can't remember the name at the moment and I can't login to SL right now to check. Blaze is also a good bet for both suits and tuxedos, you can't go wrong there.

Frankly, I have found that with a bit of persistence and keeping an ear to the ground, I have been able to obtain every kind of clothing from casual to formal for L$0 or L$1. You build up your inventory as hunt and specials become available, and by the end of one year, you should have everything you need.

Quiplash if you find out the name of the Italien sim I'd be interested to know. Always on the lookout for a well made suit.

I did buy one from Hasendow which is nice, but for some reason I can't get the bottom of the jacket to fit right and makes me look like I'm wearing a bum bag

I don't doubt you al all, Quiplash, but I haven't seen a single freebie tuxedo that I like. I found one that looked great at Blaze and was exactly what I was looking for, so I went ahead and paid for it.

I just haven't got the patience to wait for months to get something I want. When I find the perfect item, I buy it. I'm willing to spend some serious effort finding the perfect item, though.

I'm that way with jeans.

I have about 100 pairs of jeans in Daman's inventory. The amount that I wear regularly is limited to about 5 or 6 though. Only 1 of those I wear regularly is a freebie.

I still haven't found any jeans that i like better than the old Moderno/Last Call ones that sadly aren't for sale anymore.

There were two that come to mind. Miroku had (perhaps still has) a nice grey-and-black tuxedo ensemble that I thought was pretty good for a freebie.

And there was an outstanding grey tuxedo that was a freebie from that store whose name I have forgotten, but which sells all those ballerina and cheerleader outfits. It was up for about three weeks before it was taken down. If I can find it I'll post a photo(s).

I have *literally* one pair of jeans that I wear in SL (don't worry...I wash em ). I keep looking when I get tired of what I have, buy a pair, only to find they're the damn lowrider jeans, and I look like a teenage slut with happy trails ....so, back to my basic black jeans.

Even last week I grabbed a pair that said "mid-waist" (they had low-waist, but no high-waist), and still ended up all Joe-The Plumber-ish...

Can anyone with a LM for some good quality, apparently "Urkel-waisted" jeans?

OK, I bought a skin. Now I can look for clothes to put on it.

Only problem is I can't find the skin I bought in my Recent Inventory. Money left my account. Do I have to do something else or should it be there?

Recent Inventory has never, ever worked for me. Best I can do is remember what the item was called and do a search for it.

Sheer coincidence.

I have a freebie tux, but am not wearing it - the damned prim shoes are way too big.

When I go formal, I go with the full kilt rig - Prince Charlie, jabot, fly plaid. Have to get a dirk one of these times.

I'm not inworld right now so I can't grab a slurl, but I believe the correct name is Velvet Free Boutique, it should be in Search. The formal section is right at the end, furthest from where you tp in. Or second from the end...

I think Here Comes Trouble has a couple ponytail designs. There was a place called Goldilocks that had one, too, but I haven't looked there in months.

I really ought to go hair shopping.
