Mmm, see now that's another delicious sounding term. Twatwaffle. You know what that makes me think of? Oral sex. I once heard going down on a woman described as smushing your face into a stack of buttery pancakes and eating the stack from the bottom up using only your tongue and lips. I always thought that was a pretty yummy description that reflected my own feelings on the topic. Twatwaffle gives me the same picture. Is that bad?

I wish an angry client would call me "fuckchop". I'd fall out laughing. Part of my job is dealing with angry people. Sometimes the stuff I do makes them mad. Even the ones who are not my clients or customers get treated professionally. They can scream "fuck you" at me to their heart's content. You just have to learn to maintain your cool and deal with the situation. When I go home tonight, I'm the same person i was when I left for work this morning. They haven't taken anything away from me by calling me names.

Linden Lab's response in this case was a gros overreaction, especially considering the fact that Sarah was not talking directly to a Linden. She was venting frustration in open chat with a bunch of other people who were equally upset. Linden Lab has a culture that rewards those who treat Lindens like they are gods. Dissent, or ask for any sort of service, and you are treated like dirt. Their behavior was entirely inappropriate in this instance, and considering the context, and the fact that she was not addressing a Linden, but was complaining to a group of friends, I can't see where Sarah was out of line.

Jahar, for someone who espouses professionalism, you have been completely unprofessional in this thread. You have refused to listen as people tried to explain that you got the context wrong and you have chosen to personally attack Sarah. Your protestations that you are attacking her behavior and not her are so flimsy that they are laughable. Your argument here fails completely because for whatever reason, you refuse to take the context of the situation into account and insist instead on applying inappropriate analogies which you change to even worse analogies every time you are confronted. You fail to address the people who are arguing against you, choosing instead to repeat the same argument again and again, in the face of mounting frustration at your refusal to recognize that your repetitive drivel has been repeatedly proven wrong.

Look at the people who have posed alternate arguments and have done well. Take a look at the Openspace Grid thread in newsfeeds. Gabriele Graves did a comendable job arguing her point in the face of very strong opposition, and Khamon's attempts to co-opt and twist her argument to his own uses. She held her ground, did not resort to name calling, and maintained her cool while under fire. You could learn a lot from her. She's a fantastic person, and although she and I disagree on that point, I have a massive amount of respect for the way she presented herself.

At this point, you do not have any such respect. I suspect if you try hard enough, you can earn it. People here, especially Sarah Nerd (when she cools off a little) are very forgiving. It's up to you, though. You can relax and open your eyes and start acting like the professional you claim to be, or you can continue to be immature, pedantic, and obnoxious. The latter gets old very quick, and the former is a good recipe for long term happiness.

The only thing that puzzles me is why anyone cares what Jahar thinks. He's new, he has little capital on which to draw, and so he doesn't really merit the kind of extended discussion in good faith that I would expect to have with an established forum member who has otherwise proven themselves to be sensible and knowledgable. He listened to the debate that was critical of LL's actions, he responded with arguments that I consider to be weak and unpersuasive, and really, that's the end of it.

Why expend energy trying to persuade someone of the obvious rather than berating LL for their asinine business decisions? Let's get back to the true target of our wrath!!!
