That's exactly WHY you are important to SL. You are a #1 FanGirl, and I mean that in a good way. You tell everyone who will listen how great SL is, you know it better than most anybody, warts and all, and you still gush over it. You've given so much back to it as you've equally received, and you try to see to it that all the newcomers get off on a good footing and not quit afetr a week. You are doing the work that LL should be doing, pimping their product. They are incredibly fortunate, seeing how little they do to advertise SL that people like you do the things you do, and don't just set up a shop and sell stuff or rent land.

Look at how you busted your cute little tail for your NIN contest. You chose SL to do it, giving it some exposiure it might not otherwise have had. Yeah you acted like a petulant brat, probably in need of a spanking,, but all that warranted was a time out. The fact that the BAN was lifted is immaterial as far as I am concerned. it should never had been inposed in the first place. This isn't an isolated case. There have been a few threads across the street about some trigger happy types over there, people being summarily suspended and banned. Some may have been warranted, but most of the time the affected individual couldn't get any response as to why, or to tell their side of the story.

Nope, I still say the Fuck You was an understandable response.

Thanks - that's the gist of what I'm trying to say, with a side helping of two wrongs don't make a right.

If I get the energy, I may start a thread about the value of a civil society and the impact of live communication modes that don't involve face:face, voice:voice - but right now, I'm going off to slay a few goblins.

Evidently there was a required love fest component too. If I had to "love fest" my coworkers, they'd still be looking for the bodies.

lol, I just have to say this again.

If I am manning a chatroom for customers, and the company just fucked them over and they are angry and ranting, I just thank christ I'm fortunate enough not to have to work the phones or in person and leave them the hell alone.

If reading unpleasant posts about your employer is that upsetting, get another line of work.

I'll miss Jacks office hour tomorrow because I'll be at Kent working on our presentation. To bad because that's one I'd really enjoy being at.

I'm not a big fan of the entire alt situation to begin with, but the fact that I could be intereacting with an alted linden is not very comforting. They have access to all my personal information, and have total control of my SL existence. I'm sure they have regulations orbidding nefarious deeds, but they are people, and not all people are honest and principled. It gives me the creeps actually.

*hugs* Sarah. Sorry it had to happen to ya.

I think you proved my observations from my SF visit that included a short visit to Linden Lab:

There's no one at Linden Lab that's even barely fuckable -- not even with a paper bag.

LOL See what trying to fuck them did to you.

Let's let this be a lesson to us all.

When you get the urge to fuck a linden, don't. Fucking lindens creates more furries. :LOL

Some are former residents who now work for LL and just want to be able to continue in SL off hours without being constantly hassled.

Really, the bad ones are pretty notorious and seem to have a hard time hiding their behavior.

When you take away all the Linden Alts, all you are left with is Aimee Weber and her alts.

Oh and btw, Luc didn't get a job, in fact the Linden in our airship that day seemed to think the whole idea was rather absurd.

Harsh, man.

There's been a few cases of this, but it's extremely rare.

On the upside, Sarah, you can not buy publicity like this.

I mean you could have fallen out of a Limo with legs wide open and no panties and still not gotten this much publicity....

When I first heard references to the Tao of Linden, I assumed they were jokes, just some eye-rolling derision of a less than efficient business that had absorbed a little too much California sun.

When I learned that the Tao was fact, that they really DECIDED, consciously DECIDED, to manage the company in this fashion, I was flabbergasted. It was at that point I felt the first pin-prick of fear that SL was on much thinner ground than I had ever imagined. I'm addict, and the thought of losing SL was truly upsetting, but I've gotten over that terror since the appearance of the other grids.

I'll settle for beta on another grid if SL tanks. I've got a backpack and frontier leathers tucked away just in case.
