Weird Animation Issue

Ok this is really odd, I've looked for days but can't see any reason for it.

On our home sim Phoenix, even when i'm wearing absolutely NOTHING, no clothes, no attachments on my body or HUD, something is forcing my avi into a sexy walk rather than the default shuffle. The reason it bothers me is that I can't ride my horses.

It's fine on every other sim I've tried, I can ride my horses with no issues, but not on Phoenix because it forces me to 'sexy' walk and over-rides the horse anim. I'm using version 1.20.13 and it's sim wide, not just on one parcel. We own the sim, and I can't find any setting or option that would do this. I have horses by several creators and they all do it.

Does anyone have any ideas what could be causing it? because I'm stumped.

No, I've checked, plus it's all over the sim, not just in my own home parcel.

Riding a horse naked and you expect not to look sexy?

Have you tried making Scorpio get naked and ride a horse, I am sure he won't have a problem

Are you wearing shoes with a sex walk in them or perhaps a attachment with scripts that could be conflicting with the horse scripts. Perhaps something you only wear on your sim?

Or, do you have any shoes laying about your sim?

Your best bet, is something that makes you walk override normally, is laying about the sim someplace.

My second bet is maybe an AO is off screen, try adjusting your HUD to see if anything floated off the visible space.

Type "(worn" sans quotes into the inventory search, that will display anything attached in case you missed something. I can't think of anything else.

Thread Title of the Week

There was someone on the official forums who eventually found an AO in the floor of their house...something they'd dropped and assumed was eaten by the asset server.

Perhaps the sim/estate owner is working with LL on this? :

Attention Second Life Animators: Help Kill the Duckwalk! « Official Second Life Blog

AFAIK it isn't out on the main grid anywhere, but... perhaps a configuration management glitch that had something slip out prematurely with the latest rolling restart/updates?

No idea, really... hope you find out what's going on.

Thanks everyone for the replies lol Don, as if i could drag him out of AV to do anything in SL... you should know better by now.

Edit/Detach object/detach clothing are both empty, nothing worn anywhere. Nothing worn from inventory. There's nothing I only wear on the sim, no AOs on the ground.

ETA: Nice thought Tengu, but the sim owner is my rl hubby. It's doing my head in. I know it's trivial in the order of things, but i can't stand not to know WHY something is doing what it's not supposed to. lol

ETA2: The other weird thing, is that ctrl+r running (galloping), works fine, so does flying, it's ONLY walking where i get this stupid thing happening, lol..

the ao could have an invisible texture on all sides but the front, and the front could be facing a wall or something. turn on "show invisible" and look around your sim for little red things that shouldn't be there.

If the sim owner is your husband, he can sort objects that are out on the sim by name of the owner and perhaps find something of yours that would be affecting your avie inadvertently buried in the ground or 400m up in the air or something. That's worth a shot. I think you can also look through the scripted items that way.

If it's just the walk, chances are good that what you are looking for is a lost shoe. Anim permission does persist and takes effect sim-wide, so it could definitely be off your parcel. Ground and all floors might be your best search spots, the cause of this one is usually an accidental drop.
