If I include all the quick side buttons, and the keypad and all that stuff as being a part of the keyboard, yes, then it's almost in the middle.

<laughs> Well then it certainly leaves little excuse for the wall-o-text. that kind of stuff makes me blind. You must need a special form of OCD or something to read it on a regular basis.

Dude, I go to Hair Fair for the HAIR. I don't give a flying fuck about whose booth is prettiest. It usually means I can't rez.

K, leaving now. Back around 5. <3

Really? I was just making that for fun and it was a bit of something new for me to try to make.

edit: Just checked my transactions and found out I've given away 869 of them since the fair started. Wow!!!

I am not that attracted to fairs, for a number of reasons. It's a given that it will be laggy, especially in the traditional peak hours of SL, especially when newly opened. Fairs are also normally huge; it takes forever to get my bearings and then more time to browse all the stores and this can only be fun and effective if you can actually move freely. Moreover, fair exhibitors have much less resources there than in their own shop, which means they can't present their products in the best possible environment.

On the positive side, fairs introduce me to many designers I wouldn't otherwise have known. However, I'd prefer to see a simple web catalog with pictures and SLURL than walking through all those stalls. Is that a good idea? It appears to me that for many this is actually more of an event, a party or an entertainment source than a shopping opportunity. People want to see other people and be seen themselves. They can't do that on a website. But if someone is there to be seen, she won't possibly come as an ARC1 without AO.

I was at the Hair Fair three times I think, I abandoned the visit each time after 5 minutes. I'll come again when things have quietened down (they will), when I can leisurely browse instead of feeling that I am somehow hogging the space. I know this is no solution for the seen and be seen peeps, but there's a price to pay and it will be better if they accept that graciously instead of looking for things to correct in other people.

Most of the demos should be on onrez.

I would think that by next week it will be much quieter at the Hair Fair. Already right now it seems like the SIMs are between 27 and 40 people. Two days ago they were full at 65.

well yes if you put arc at extremes then its going to be a kind of a measure. not a great one, but it will work. so a guy at 130K arc (and wow that takes work) is DEFINITELY going to be more lagalicious then a person at 1.

but really most people fall into an arc of 2k-4 or 5k. And if we can't use all the nifty stuff that we can build in SL, then what the fuck is the point. oh for crying out loud i'm derailing my own thread.

No, Onrez was very slow as well two days ago. I mean a simple website with pictures and SLURL, no transactions, but naturally only with invited /curated contents

Of course you do. ARC gets calculated based on what people see in-world. I.e. what their viewer even knows about. People don't see your HUDs, nor will they lag them with their primwork. :3

Jesus christ. Everyone go search Ingrid's previous posts and count how many say "Tenshi". Go on. Call it a social experiment.
It's not my fault every 3rd thread is either by you or about what you're doing on your blog. I just post in this forum.

Don't expect a bouquet a roses from me if you ever call my builds "epic fail". I think everyone is freaking out over nothing. You were just being you and people were reacting accordingly. Another day in SL. Another fashiniosta extravaganza dramanza. The only good thing to come of this thread is that you now know you can have lesbian sex with Io if you ever wanted to. That's nice to fall back on.

Not to cause any drama. But I hate to see talented artists good hair and outfits ruined by bad photography.

Its great to find a driver and be chauffeured around hair fair - I recommend a low prim comfy couch. You will be done in no time... now to find a time to try on all the demos and find my driver for a trip back to buy

Okay now that booth drama seems to be dying down here’s another bitchfest in the making. Men’s hair in SL is shit. Seriously, do hair designers not get that not all of us are for lack of a better term…pussy ass miscreant hipster fucks? There are indeed some men out there who know how to use a brush and a comb and don’t like our hair looking like we stuck it in a washing machine, added “product” and then stuck our heads in the fucking dryer. There is apparently only a limited selection of styles in SL for men. It goes like this: (just some examples)

1: Really short “spiky” hair. Example: Savoir Hair » Blog Archive » (Male Mondays) Calico Creations - Scott
2: The “omg I can’t see as one of my eyes are covered with hair” style: Savoir Hair » Blog Archive » (Male Mondays) Bryce - Emoh
3: The bad pony tail. Seriously, almost all men’s pony tails look like modified female ones.
4: The excessively long hair so I too can rock/goth out with my cock out.

It’s literally maddening to go to hair store after hair store and discover I’m screwed for hair. And I know for a fact I’m not the only guy who feels this way. Yeah, we get we’re screwed on clothes but most of us have accepted it. But just like you ladies, we’re not happy when we walk into a place and every 3rd guy there has our haircut.

I agree 100% I'd like to see nice short styles for men. Honestly the hair I like the best the really short ones close to the scalp are usually attached to the skin
