Oh, I did NOT. I said their booth looked nice but the number of prims and sculpties equated to an unfortunate epic fail.

- Sim lag, whatever that is, at Hair Fair
- Client lag, whatever that is, at Hair Fair
- Ignorant primmed out blingtards at Hair Fair blaming lag on AOs
- The designer of Bewitched/HoH hair doesn't give a fuck about lag-inducing prim excess
- Drama, whatever that is

Surprising:

- Little effort on Hair Fair's part to reduce lag, other than pleading into oblivion to de-prim
- Apparently honest expectations that enough people would de-prim to make a difference
- Nobody has said that ARC is communist Linden pseudo-science

FWIW, I had an easy time at Hair Fair by turning on Avatar Imposters and reducing Avatar detail to minimum. I doubt that movement would have been any easier if Hair Fair had proscribed any decorations (like the Gnubie Store). My only gripe is that it was spectacularly confusing to navigate--I resorted to using the Slurls on the Hair Fair blog. It worked well enough for me to spend my monehs. Bless your heart, Hair Fair!

Seems to me, Tenshi - not that you asked for my unsolicited advice - that if you are going to have a blog that allows comments, you should allow the comments. Not wait until you get one you like (for whatever reason).

Ditto this business of being too quick to ban people from commenting at all.

Of course, I don't have a blog myself. But that is how it looks to me from out here.

Well we do allow comments. In fact, we allow a LOT of comments. But when people get downright rude, cuss each other out - we don't tolerate that.

If Fall was banned, it was banned with good reason and after considerable tolerance. They usually get warned before a ban.

Of course, most of them just keep on truckin'.

Horrible? Baseless? Tenshi's blog entry pointed out some possible reasons why the Hair Far was so much more laggy this year than last. Fact: It IS more laggy than last year. That's neither horrible nor baseless.

Maybe you didn't notice. There are two big threads here on the Hair Fair and the horrid lagfest it's been compared to last year. Most of us looked forward to the Hair Fair as one of the high points of our Second Life fall season, and we're very disappointed that it was so bad we couldn't even get textures to rez or demos to appear. So if you're going to talk about lag, it's fair to point at the blingtards and primhogs who show up but let's start with the people (the professionals and merchants) who built the thing. Fair IS fair.

As someone else pointed out, Ten doesn't get a free pass around here. We've had quite a few pages here already on the laggy, unenjoyable experience that was the Hair Fair this year and many of them were posted long before anyone even knew she blogged about it.

Actually, Fall was banned from commenting a while ago. I don't remember why, exactly, but she must have said something seriously nasty because we only have about three IP's banned. I saw her last comment when I was scanning the spam filter last night (sometimes people post more than 2 links in a comment and it goes into the spam cache, so I try to stay on top of it) I thought the comment made her look like a giant ass, so I let it through.

A sim with less than 6000 prims in my opinion should be free of any accusations of "gluttonous use of prims" or "prim hog". Sheltered did what she understood was to be done. Create a booth in an Aztec theme. Thats really hard to do if you don't use any prims. And do it script free, which she did.
As far as Tenshi ruining my birthday and anniversary, maybe that was worded poorly. I however should not have to spend anytime defending myself or my wife from this garbage. I didn't have to let this nonsense ruin anything but the sad thing is that I did.
In closing, and this is the last I'm going to respond to any attacks on our "professionalism" "maturity" or any other negativity that comes from these forums. You win Tenshi! Hallelujah you win! You posted something negative but baseless about us and I took the bait. While you sat back and enjoyed yourself I seethed and did not much more than damage our name and business. I do find it so hard to sit back and not respond to your attacks but maybe I just need a script for Xanax then I'll be better able to ignore your constant negative attacks on innocent people.
Hope we can all be a bit civil from here on out and put an end to this nonsense that has done nothing but hurt the Hair Fair.

There are no less than three other threads on this forum bitching about the lag and shit at the Hair Fair from the day it started.

This wasn't an evil mastermind plan to create drama on Tenshi's part, trust me, she was mild compared to stuff we have said on SLU. This was drama created out of people like yourself *wildly overreacting* to a blog post. That is all it is, a blog post. And Tenshi is just this chick, you know, who writes a blog. She does not have the power to destroy worlds.
