That creeps you out but the fact that your best friend carries such personal vendettas against us and so many others doesn't? I don't hate Tenshi because of her post but that sure adds to it. She has attacked so many innocent people and ran a good portion of them right out of SL for no reason whatsoever. After we helped a couple of friends out and stood up for them against the horrible and untrue shit she threw in their faces it made us a target. She doesn't care who she hurts or whose day she fucks up so long as she gets off on hurting somebody else. Oh and lets not mention that there were far less strongly worded comments I made on SCD that never got posted. She waited and waited and just let her negativity wear me down until I posted something that would feed her fire. So how about posting my other comments Tenshi?

Hope your not talking about our leopards, Macha. The leopards in our booth are not sculpty or script and were in fact made before sculpties were even introduced into SL.

We are using 375 of our allowed 400 prims. we're using a few sculpties most of which are very basic and low rez. We aren't using any scripts except the split profit script. On the other hand we found some designers who were well over their prim limits and using a lot of scripted items which is not allowed...you with me here? Yet we are the ones under attack for lagging the entire hair fair? Give me a break. Then we're not allowed to defend ourselves without being called bitchy? Grow up people and learn something. Scripts cause lag, primmy attachments cause lag, large groups of people with ARCs over 6-7000 causes lag.

Yesterday was my birthday and Tenshi fucked that up pretty well for me with yet another of her baseless attacks. Today is my and Sheltereds wedding anniversary and thats not going to be consumed defended ourselves against something which we never should have to defend ourselves against, lies and personal attacks.

I guess I'm just done with this shit. Tenshi has successfully projected onto us the sole responsibility for all the lag at the hair fair. If you believe that you truly are not worth another moment of my time.

GOOD FUCKING GRIEF.

Why so many of you allow one person to have so much power about how you feel about yourselves and what you do in your day-to-day SL is completely baffling to me.

Whether it's Tenshi or someone else, the idea that so many people allow themselves to get so deeply swirled up into whether or not someone unrelated approves of what they did or did not do just seems so amazingly counterproductive.

And then to come here and make sure the fight continues?

No I don't think you should sit back and take it. But what would be expected for you to do is stop running around like a fucking drama queen playing victim. And do something productive like reduce the prim count on your display.

I think you are spending to much time dwelling on who pointed it out and not enough time on fixing the problem. Doesn't matter if Tens pointed out or the mother freggin pope. Your display area is a prim hog.

Also, IIRC - your stall wasn't the only one pointed towards in Tenshi's article.

There were many fucked up stalls, yours was just one of many (and yes, I agree it wasn't the worst). So no - you're not responsible for the lag at the hair fair all by yourself. Hell, Rezzable didn't do their part of the sim design 100% efficient either.

It was merely pointed out that if everyone did their job to work low-lag, it would be a lot more bareable. That means not just the visitors, not just the designers, not just rezzable. But all three.

But who cares. Drama, unlike lag, never crashed a server. So feel free to continue as you are. If anything, the butthurtiness (yes, I just made up that word) is amusing me.

Since this prim removal stuff is to reduce client side lag, there are a few things people could do when they show up.
They can turn down all the settings on their graphics down to the very bottom.
Mute someone to de-prim them on your screen and give them an ARC of 1.

I sure as hell would not even consider going to that place with my 12k ARC outfit.

I have mixed feelings about this. Should we blame people for making their avatars look like the ones featured on the sl websites?

I don't have much of an interest in dressing up my dollie anymore and I'm quite happy to run around sl as a plywood cube but to a lot of new people, especially newish people this is an opportunity to look **like a star** . So they make an account, spend real dollars on attachments only to be told they can't wear them? To me the real failure is the platform.

Look, where Ten's involved, it tends to be drama first and ask questions later (and I imagine she'd agree with that herself), but complaints about the lag at the Hair Fair are fully justified, and not just against the people who can't bear to be stripped down to their textures. The sheer over-the-top nature of some of the HF booths this year is insane, and I see nothing with outside observers calling it like they see it. In short, deal. There is no need to lash out at critics like a a 14 year old fangirl who just got her 10,000 word Inuyasha slash fic sporked.

Like Sassy (I think it was Sassy?) commented on SCD, those prims were allocated to allow vendors the ability to offer all of their styles in all of their colors.

Excessive decorations, while allowed, are certainly frowned upon, as you can see.

I don't think anyone is saying that YOU PERSONALLY murdered teh Hair Fair and raped it's mother, but you were shown as an example of WHAT YOU SHOULDN'T DO.

I don't always agree with Tenshi, and in my opinion most of the booths were over the top, i didn't give a shit whose was the prettiest, and who had the most plants/rugs/seat round it

Yeah I understand that, but again, that runs contrary to the image that LL projects. The official sl site is full of pictures with tricked-out avatars. I'm just saying I can understand why some people don't want to give up their attachments when they've spent so much on them, precisely in order to show off their avatar at events like this one.

Anyone who has stepped in those sims knows how bad it is when it's crowded. If I had screwed up and filled my booth with stuff that was adding to the lag, I would go right in and take it OUT.
