Glad to see Casinos back

I was personally very glad to see the reintroduction of classic Casino style games of chance this week. It seems these can be played legally using a clever grid wide system and are simple to use and low lag. A very good addition I think.

I am interested in any thoughts.

The economic impact is this...

Everything youve invested in SL will be lost to you as soon as LL close whatever pathetic little loophole you're trying to use to circumvent federal laws they have to be compliant with.

As I mentioned to you in your casino, I'm reasonably sure that these would fail US UIEGA provisions of the US Safe Port Act and would thus be subject to removal by LL along with punitive actions against the casino owner.

The bit that people have historically had difficulty understanding about the UIEGA as it applies to gaming in SL, is that the element of chance is what puts gaming afoul of the law. There have been numerous attempts to get around this by substituting intermediaries between L$ and US$ but that loophole was never there to begin with.

As I also told you, I don't AR anything. But I wouldn't be too surprised if you find your account locked "pending investigation of gaming rule violations". There are a fair number of unhappy former-casino owners out there who may well wish to "share" their unhappiness.

Really?

*yawn*

Though the prospect of having exposed a new scam that many around these parts rather despise and would most likely be more than happy to AR to test how long it will stand up in SL is slightly amusing.

I agree ... and frankly ending badly is a good thing for businesses that prey on human frailty and flaunt laws.

I trust any user operated gambling establishment about the same as Ginko, or any of those SL "Banks". When you can prove your games are not rigged, and give the same assuarnces to odds and payouts of RL Casinos, and LL say it's OK for you to operate. Then I'll drop by.

Indeed. Its a pity really, because I expected great things from a thread about gambling, initiated by someone called "Slapnuts", who has four posts to his/her credit.

I think I can speak for at least some of us in this thread, when I say Fuck Off.

It must be awfully hard going through life being so colossally stupid. Imagine. Stupid and lacking in even the most basic ethics and courtesy. I'm surprised the OP has survived long enough to be able to type in complete sentences. You would have thought that he would have been a victim of Darwin long ago.

I'd open a book on how long it lasts before getting closed down, but thats probably against the gambling ban too.

It must be true that all plants think alike Isablan; that was my initial reaction as well. Also, I like ducks.

I just want my freeplay blackjack back. I'd be happy if the thing never even paid a dime or accepted any cash either.. Just have it keep score.
