Ok, that was a gigantic mess!

Finally, my brother (this is his old computer) fixed everything, so here are 2 pics. Both are pretty bad - I couldn't figure out how to pose my avatar, so she kept looking away and I don't have many choices about appearance. But this is as good as it gets ATM:

To get those two pictures I: took a bunch but didn't press save for any = none, took a bunch and somehow erased the entire file trying to open/post/whatever to them = none, took a bunch and realized I left part of another piece of clothing hanging alone off on shoulder = none, crashed my computer a couple of times = none and none and none, took a bunch and disliked all of them but picked three and couldn't make them small enough for attachment - so I tried to edit them and messed on up beyond repair and couldn't figure out how to get the white left border off of the other = the two I posted after having my brother figure out how to make them small enough and put them where I could find them.

Now I need a nap.

NIN-tribute band concert in SL ala U2. Get all your creative friends to make the skins/hair/clothes/animations. Make a music video with all of us there as the concert crowd. I'd volunteer to help (and I do volunteer to be in the concert crowd), but the most creative I get is the 9-inch glowing fingernails I used in my pic

Release the fear. Dig into your deepest subconscious and imagine what ideas would convince YOU to go see Trent in concert? (Other than the fact that he's fucking sexy as hell and more talented than is legal).

Here's one starter: You've gotten a bunch of individual screenshots from people. How about we hold a big NiN party in SL - hand out free NiN t-shirts with that poster on them. Have group poses of 20-30 Avatars all wearing the shirt?

Or stage an SLU mechanima, animated with your favorite NiN song overdubbed on it? Acting out Reznor song lyrics!

I'm sure we could get tons of volunteers here to do "NiN performance art" in SL. Let me be the first!

I've been thinking about a way to wrangle a crowd into a video. I already bought a ton of crowd animation huds. Just need to think of a way to do it. On August 20th I plan to have a big in world event and offer lots of prizes including tickets to the rl show, and everyones favorite prize, $Linden$. Hopefully I'll settle on a plan for that this week, get the ad made and blog it.

I'd bet you you could crash a sim just with SLU folks helping you out

With a video you have lots of editing options. You can edit it to look like a big crowd. Just keep flashing on a small group of avatars (different groups of avatars) dancing. You can fit up to 80 in a sim, have them stand close together and dance. You can do sky writing in SL. You can do fireworks with words in them. You can do particle poofers with textures on them...

If you hold down alt and left click on your av, she'll look forward and pretty much hold there. Similarly, if you alt-left click an object, she'll stare at that.

Also, the place I mentioned earlier, Long Awkward Pose, has free animation overriders for avs under 30 days on the wall by the door. AOs, as they're called, are usually worn full time because the SL default animations are, shall we say, not good, but it might give you more variety in your pics too.

My video editing skills are limited. Very limited. I have a program now that makes it really easy to cut and paste video clips and ad signs but thats about all I can do.
