Hmmph!! Here I am trying to get IMPORTANT work done in Los Angeles and my tranquility is disturbed by all this bat like shrieking. Nothing on the news or anything about it,so I thought I would check to see if Sarah progressed in the contest and sho' nuff, that HAD to be what it was about.

Bain the guy I'm against now, He has had on air commercials at the station, and he's having an event in a big club? Where they play roc band the game to win tickets. His event was highly advertised. I need to come up with some big ideas.

If we can get some NIN stand-ins to "play" on stage and have a good video producer underlay a NIN song to it that might be pretty impressive.

Or how about re-creating one of NIN's music video's in SL?

For real life I still like the idea of doing a stop-gap video of people forming the NIN and K-Rock logos.

How much would it cost to have a banner plane fly around the station airspace a couple of times?

This one might be trouble - go to a thrift store and buy a bunch of cheap old suitcases and slap NIN stickers all over them and have people leave them all over town.

I really like this suitcase idea a lot! I need as many ideas as possible that I can get done within a matter of a few days. They said what it comes down to is who reaches the most people. I have to compete and do better than two events in clubs this week that were highly advertised and on on air radio commercial. He's also made 4 websites and posted banners on various websites.

I do need a decent video made for the event. I can make them but I'm not good enough to do much more than put various clips together. I'm going to try to get a Trent Avatar made soon. Mabb showed me some perfect hair, and I need to get a skin and then work on a decent shape. I have lots to do this week. I need daily ideas that are cheap, and can be done quickly with little planning.

I really thought I was getting the axe today. I'm so glad I didn't! I can't come this close and be beat by a rich kid named Bain. Plus since next Monday we will be in studio, and I can't cry on air lol. So if you have any ideas for fast promotions I'd be grateful.

Congrats Sarah! Great news.

So I was percolating further ideas and headed off to read the official rules and saw that you were offered use of "$1,000 in marketing tools including posters, postcards and placement of cable TV advertising. The 1,000 in marketing tools will be used to create four (4) market campaigns over the course of a four week period" What are those and how have you used them? I'm guessing you get brownie points for using Live Nation well since they represent 1/3 of the judges.

What Bain seems to have done so far is fairly standard stuff. I bet you can blow him out of the water.

How about making some lights in the sky with Christmas lights? Got friends with windows or rooftops? Now is one of those moments I wish I owned one of these (although re-enacting Boston would not be full of win).

How about a semi-quick scavenger hunt or ARG and the winner gets to be a backstage guest in your group if you win? Although, to rain on my own parade, I have no idea about the legal logistics of this.

I have nearly all of my 1K left, but the catch is I have to tell them how I intend to use it and they pay for it. If they don't feel it's a form of advertising that will reach a lot of people then it's a no go. So far I haven't used any unless they charged me a hundred or two for the half box of fliers I picked up at there office. Everything I've done so far I've paid for on my own out of pocket because I don't want to bug them, I'm pretty resourceful, and most of the things I did I needed to do right then and didn't have time to go though contacting then, waiting for approval and then waiting for funds. Plus I didn't want them to think this was about spending there money for me. I want this so damn bad, I don't mind going broke on little things, gas, and small supply's. I've been looking all night at a good advertising method to spend that on. I looked into Billboards and planes with manners, and so on. Most sites don't list prices, and so far no call backs from the places I left messages. Whatever it is it has to be under 1k, and something that can happen FAST. In a day or two FAST.
