The build at around 300m altitude in Black Swan is called "Noobility" and was created by Art Laxness and myself. The scripting is due to me and the sculpted prim noobs and all of the textures are due to Art.

Congratulations to everyone who mistook the sculptures for actual noobs, that was the point.

Of course 25L is... really nothing. I buy much more expensive items on impulse. But I think a lot of people, including me, are hesitant to pay anything for something they don't know they will enjoy, which has been brought up in this thread before.
I've tipped Apollo Gardens much more than that. But I got to see it first.

The sculpty noob is actually a pretty wide-spread freebie. I can't believe people haven't seen it before, it's great.

We discovered that the noob had been copybotted yesterday. It was not intended to be released as a full perms freebie, and certainly not with all references to the original creator (Art Laxness) removed.

Its basically

SLprawl

In that SL is so big and so often empty with so many unattended and even forgotten builds but just keeps expanding.

Not that I'd doubt you but the creator listed (Stavin Carter) is an established account with a whole lot to lose. :/

I was given one with an entirely different creator to either of the ones mentioned, yesterday.

Annoying. I shan't distribute it now of course (and hadn't before reading this).

Art Laxness' workspace, with many work in progress versions of the noob is in the vicinity of http://slurl.com/secondlife/xyz/6/243/501. The Stavin Carter version is up (for comparison) at http://slurl.com/secondlife/xyz/31/231/501. This is a clear case of copybot use, it uses the same texture UUIDs.

Ordinal, could you let me know the creator of the third version? I'd also like to check if it really is a direct copy or just similar.

Thanks Ordinal, turns out this is the same Stavin Carter copy but with a root prim created by someone else added.

We found this forum where people are passing it around: Translated version of http://www.slinfo.de/phpbb/viewtopic.php?p=247443

Any German speakers here who could explain the situation on that forum?

I should mention incidentally, assuming that the above post is snark, that Art and I are not employees of Rezzable, we were contractors, paid a flat fee. We've been paid already, and don't see any of your L$199.
