I'm going to make a 'prettier picture' suggestion here for some of you who look like you're using default lighting in your images:
Caliah Lyon presets. This is excellent lighting for clean 'modeling' type shots, although you'd need to tinker if you wanted something more moody.

If your computer can't handle Windlight and you have the shaders off, the FaceFx Designer is an excellent, versatile facelamp which allows easy adjustment of pretty much every aspect of the light with just a few clicks. I wouldn't suggest strolling the grid with all four prims blazing, though...I only kept one or two active pre-WL conversion.

Just claim artistic license and move on.

I was thinking more of the ones where the av looks very dark and/or shadowy, and not in a cool Gothic way.

I got excited seeing your name as last posted, thinking you'd posted some pictures

I do like that skin, the face is pretty, but I've always thought it was a bit 'yellowy' in tone, so don't wear it that much. I got a new Laqroki skin yesterday, one of the recent 'Glow' line, and I much prefer it. Also got yet more Gala ... ok no more spending for me for at least a week!

idk if it is just me but i never see any change with facelights on me or others? anyone no why?

well i only use a preset for lighting but whenever i see someone with a facelight or am tryin on one i revert back to default lighting. is that the same?

No, I'm talking about going to Edit > Preferences > Graphics and then you'll probably have to check the 'Custom' box to see where you can select the light source. I think local lighting defaults to enabled, but I can't swear to that.

You can also turn off lighted attachments so you will not see face lights at all if that was toggeled.

Ann, do you have anti-aliasing turned off? If you turn it on just for photo sessions it will help smooth the edges and get rid of the jagged little stair step pixels. You can see where there more contrast across the edges the rougher it gets and this should not be happening with anti-aliasing on.

No, I have it on. It drives me batshit that nothing I do to the viewer or to the card's general settings seems to get rid of the rough edges. Maybe that's just the best my card can do.

Oddly, my old card that I 'upgraded' from so I could run WL had fewer issues with this.
