From what the mods of several current and former SL forums have told me, some people report every post they disagree with. Of course, this has the effect of making the mod automatically ignore any abuse report from that individual.

I've mostly used it for reporting all-out spam like cellphone ads or pr0n. I think I've only used it once in a "this is getting out of control" sort of way -- I believe it was during the "let's make alts and attack Tenshi" timeframe.

I can't help wondering if these "ZOMG I REPORTZ U" people are the same one perpetuating the bullshit about Joshua pwnzoring Cristiano.

Overall, I don't get many post reports. There was a time when I would get frequent post reports from one person, but they no longer post here. Most of the post reports I get now are for the occasional spam or when a thread gets nasty. At most I get a few post reports a week.
