I don't know any of the people involved in this particular shitstorm, except for meeting Tenshi briefly on-grid during Sarah Nerd's voice-chat party (which btw was a lot of fun, when are we doing that again?). I have no particular axe to grind, but I was extremely bothered by this whole shoot-the-messenger mentality, which Ingrid injected into this particular discussion thread in the first place (and yes, I can point back to the post where it happened, I already quoted it earlier).

Ingrid, I don't care what you have to say anymore about this issue. I think the only person whose reputation has been damaged by your Tenshi-bashing is yourself.

To me it comes down to the evidence, and the evidence is enough to convince me that Minnu used Danae's work in her skins. THAT is the issue here, period.

It's way way too early to tell if any theft has occurred, even with the overwhelming indications that indeed Minnu used Danae's texture.

This is not a simple case of rip and reupload. Danae's texture is for sale as a Poser texture. The license is poorly worded and outdated. As far as I can ascertain, Minnu used the texture.

Using != stealing in this case, not yet, anyway. So most of us who are disagreeing with Ingrid are not in fact claiming that Minnu stole when we state that it looks pretty obvious that the SL texture of Minnu appeared derived from the V3 texture of Danae's. Most of us remain unsure on this issue.

However, it's not looking good, simply due to how Minnu's camp has handled the situation. What I take issue with in your argument and in Ingrids, is that just because Tenshi does bad things, I should disregard the sterling reputation of Danae's on Renderosity, and I should disregard the mob circus of Minnu's staff and supporters attacks on Danae.

And I have every right to have that opinion, and Tenshi has not a damn thing to do with how I arrived at it. All she did is post the article, she didn't make all those people write lunatic posts and hit the send in response.

You might want to stick to speaking for yourself Ingrid. I wouldnt 'lump' you together with them. I havent seen anyone talk to Chip or even Humps in the same manner they have you.

While people like myself may not agree with everything humps or chip said they atleast brought ideas about the ACTUAL matter at hand to the plate. You have not.

Getting back to the issue at hand...

I am going to email the people who own those shoes on renderosity, and have them email Tenshi to do an expose on Armidi LOL. Funny thing is...you give armidi the benefit of the doubt and ASSUME "well of course if anything they purchased the item and are covered by the more linient EULA"

To elaborate on my last post, I don't feel Chip, Humps or Johanna were bashing Tenshi at all - or at least their arguments didn't hinge on the fact that they have some base dislike for her. I'm not going to defend her own reactions to their statements, but in no case did any of those individuals appear to exhibit as much a knee-jerk reaction to her involvement as you have.

You may not feel your arguments are either, but based on your continual reference to past history, I think it's safe to say you have a fairly large bias. I'm not saying you were not wronged, but what I AM saying here is this past history has no relevance when the issue does not directly involve her except for the fact that she brought the issue to light on her blog.

If your message here is to advise caution about being judge and jury, fine! That's advice well taken. It doesn't mean folks are 'naive' or 'idiots' for not agreeing with your 'discerning' point of view.

In any case, I didn't want to have to make another post on this and would really prefer to see further discussion on the case between Danae & Minnu.

I'm also going to take some time out to enjoy time with someone I want to spend time with and do something other than lurk on message boards... which is something I think many people posting in this thread would do well to consider as well
