A bunch of shop owners and I had a run-in with a sim owner named Tessa Kaos this evening. She's a real gem. Basically, she took the shopping area manager and banned him, created a new group, ditched any consideration for the shop owners and refused to refund recently-paid rent money.

In an amazingly hostile takeover by the sim owner, shopping area Cotton Candy is no more. Tessy Kaos (oh, how appropriate) has banned both managers Cate Dollinger and Marsellus Bombast from the sim and is working on rebuilding it piece by piece, returning items to Marsellus as she completes the copy. Basically, she’s ripping off his work.

About half of the shop owners are at Cotton Candy as we speak, packing up their vendors and demanding rent refunds. Tessy is extremely hesitant to refund; in fact, all of the shop owners around her ended up AR’ing her under “theft”.

As you can tell, the sim owner is an extremely intelligent and eloquent woman… and this behaviour is absolutely surprising.

[19:34] Iris Seale: you’d have a bunch of empty buildings and no one to shop here

Nothing as far as I know, Sarah. Tessy was still being paid although Cate, the main manager, left SL. Marsellus was taking care of everything by himself and tried to bring in a couple friends to help out, and the sim owner flipped out.

Control freak extrordinaire. She wouldn't bring back Marsellus, nor would she refund us our rent.

This kind of shit seems to happen with far too much regularity - it's why I made a decision to never rent from anyone again.

If the builds/ect are not group owned, get those people on alts with modify rights to return that stuff ASAP!

Well, as it happened all of us shop owners had harassed her so much by the time we were AR'ing her that she ended up returning the entire build and scrapping all of it. It's in pieces, a real mess.



She was a real bitch though. At least three shop owners had *just* paid their rent the day before and she refused to return it. Marsellus, the banned manager, offered to return it to everyone.

thats a shame. i had a great time shopping around there just a couple weeks ago. was a cute little mall.
