It's this part that makes me think M. may have a clue:

Quote:
“Maybe it was the right place but definitely the wrong time for most big brands,” Kingdon said. “I’d like to see a continuation and even acceleration of the incredible in-world development we’ve seen from engaged, highly participative residents. that will create the richness of experience and vibrant economy that’s so important. If there are companies that can participate in the organic growth of Second Life, it’s a great place for them.”
That's not all bad, really. It means he understands that this community is a natural process that can be grown, and not just a bunch of eyeballs to sell to. I think he may be all right.

I don't know about that, but it might be worth signing up again, just to have the satisfaction of getting pissed at him and quitting again.

Maybe we should invite him to participate in the Crafts forum.

Comes from an oppressive regime - like China, the Sudan or Texas. Lives with his mom. Played the tuba in High School. Might have an imaginary friend. Once had to go to the hospital when he got hit in the head by a frisbee and lost his inhaler and his retainer.

We're awful. It's good to know I'm among my people, though.

Organic's Mark Kingdon Flies to Linden Labs

News just dropped that Organic Chief Mark Kingdon has flown the coop to join Second Life developer Linden Lab as CEO. Congrats to Mark, a longtime friend of ClickZ. Here's hoping he can help marketers wrap their brains around the virtual world -- something that hasn't exactly panned out so far.

Are we all hoping for that too??

It is amazing how he hasn't even been issued his parking decall and already he's been ripped to shreds. I'm very proud of this place right now.
