No subsription eh? Maybe I will check it out. My main issue with MMOs is that I am not compedetive at all so PvP, which is like the ultimate point, is lost.

I really with the whole PvP thing hadn't caught on so much. Nobody is willing to commit to a PvE-only MMO anymore.

PvP in the end, regardless of the game or the rewards involved, devolves to e-peen wagging by dedicated jerks. Gank or be ganked. Barriers to competitive PvP entry can be absurd and discouraging. Some F2P MMOs are really notorious for it.

And as far as that article is concerned...I'll take WoW's endgame gear grind any day over some games where you have to RMT just to have a chance. You have to be a masochist just to reach endgame in some places as well.
