Business: Desperation Isle Estates | MMOGCHART finally updated! Just when many folks were assuming the webmaster of MMOGCHART had died or whatever, he did a massive update to his chart of MMOG subscriptions. Even though I knew World of Warcraft was the biggest game in the world, I was still surprised that it has twice as many subscribers as all other MMOGs combined. He only counts Premium members of Second Life (of which there are fewer than 100,000), but SL still fares pretty well, in my opinion. Strangely, he no longer tracks There.com membership because they are free to play- omitting the fact that There has a premium plan just like Second Life does. (There's parent company, Forterra, is focusing on enabling real-world corporations and organizations develop customized virtual spaces for educational and experimental purposes. There.com is almost a technology demo at this point, in terms of their priorities. Forterra is attempting to eat Linden Lab's lunch.) After looking at these charts, I have two questions:
__________________ Desperation Isle Estates: Great prices, great neighbors, great service! New Desperation Isle: The prettiest BDSM Playground and Fetish Mall in SL! Desperation Isle Productions: Scripted skyboxes for lots (and budgets) of all sizes! Wildefire Walcott's Mistressy Musings: My blog about D/s and BDSM in Second Life. |

| exp(ln(Gearhead)) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Kinda complicated in SL's case since the Premium account statistic does not take into consideration non-premiums that are spending real money in SL, in some cases much higher than the average paid MMO subscription. Then of course there is the fact that a lot of Premium members are not even putting money in since they have businesses. |
