One of those upgrades that you don't notice in performance, but I finally got around to replacing the cheap 500W Allied PSU that came with my system with a 650W Corsair CSM unit. Since the last motherboard failed (at least under warranty) with a lot of different systems slowly going out, I kind of suspect the PSU was the culprit. Either way, I would rather have a reliable PSU that I can move to the next rig.

I was all happy and contented to have new things to do in Secret World the last few days. But then Blizzard brings out the Necromancer DLC for Diablo 3.

So much for happiness and content. I played my new Necro until bedtime last night and I'm back to being slow to rouse this morning!

Yeah, I have all of these other games to play, and I want to figure out Black Desert Online and try the new Secret World...

And about all I have played in the past 9 months is Overwatch. Or 3DS games.

Love the necro. Played it 11 hours straight to get it to level 70. Still need to gear up though.

I was finding way too many power armor suits. I have a habit of following BoS and when they get killed, swooping in and snagging all their armor, plus all the suits scattered in the water, railcars etc... So once the display suits went more than halfway around my house in Sanctuary, I knew I had a problem. So, Down went the house next door and up went the new museum. Inside is about 36 suits of different types and colours with another 7 suits parked in various spots throughout Sanctuary and 4 or so off at Red Rocket...

Not sure if I should expand the building another section to house everything or drop in some interior walls to use... Probably should just dismantle any duplicates and toss the parts into the workshop.

Or maybe make all the duplicates into the same model and force my guards to wear them. Tough call seeing how my Sanctuary has never been attacked yet.

So there's apparently this game that's just been released. It's called Dream Daddy, an apparently gay? dating simulator targeted for a male audience. In the game you're a single man with a daughter, I think, and you've just moved into a cul-de-sac inhabited by several other eligible fathers (for differing values of "eligible") that you date (for differing values of "date") until you get a certain score with a particular one of them, which presumably means you end up with that guy. I think. Something like that, anyway.

So it sounds simple enough; but this Medium author who tried the game out found some things about the game that seem vaguely sinister.

It's a fun read.

For those still playing Pokemon Go, here's a legendary raid from last night. This is the teeny Tyranitar squad.

This might be interesting to play.

ETA: Oh btw - the launch date for Age of Empires Definitive Edition is October 19, with preorders open now. It's also been announced that there will be Definitive Editions made of AOEs 2 and 3 as well. So lots to look forward to!

I posted the trailer for AOE/DE a couple of months ago when it was announced; but in case you haven't seen it yet, here:

This is rumored to be the story setting up Half Life 3! I know, I know, large grain of salt, etc. It looks like it could be authentic though.

Considering who it's from, it stands to reason that it is. Judging from the reactions I've seen so far, people are taking it as proof that the series is dead. The NDA for Episode 3 recently expired. Laidlaw was HL's lead writer but no longer works for Valve. It's been a decade now and Valve's priorities obviously lie elsewhere.

Ok. Fallout 4. Keeping settlers out of your own private home is not as easy as you'd think.

Locking the doors doesn't stop them. Neither does putting card readers on the doors. What happens is they ignore doors, warp through walls to stand around in your house, use your bed etc.

You can only put som many of them on caravan trade duty before your settlement has issues. So, if you are wanting a my own home and the rest of you people stay the hell out of it house, what do you do? Try and exploit physics/navmesh?

Nah.

You install this mod instead Private Area Markers (keep settlers out of your house) at Fallout 4 Nexus - Mods and community

It works. No more damn freeloading bastards lounging on my bed, couches, hovering over you in the middle of the night... There's 52 beds and like 8 houses in Sanctuary, fuck off to one of them. Me and Piper/Curie/Cait are trying to get some beauty sleep.

Ark: Survival Evolved finally got out of Early Access today. Now I wonder how many people actually play the game now?

He starts off a bit slow but gets better as it goes on. I definitely recommend watching if you enjoy playing games at all.

Why does this make me think some of the "creators" from SL have migrated to Steam?
