That did indeed make the game a little better. but overall it just feels utterly unpolished, it doesn't have the smoothness I'd be used to in WoW. small things bug me too. like walking around on my ship, the crew members do not even acknowledge their captain, the fuck, like. Not all chairs are interactive either. small things like that give me the impression of a rushed game, this has been out 2(?) years.

even on the harder difficulty the ground missions feel like a really shitty blast em up.

It does have some decent stories though and some of them are actually pretty good and feel like Star Trek. But overall it still has some problems which is probably why it went F2P. I am still enjoying it though but I'm going to only login when a new episode of a season comes out. I will definitely be back in SWTOR next week.

I haven't messed with OnLive for awhile and it works very well now. I was just messing around with it some and played the 30 minute demo of Batman: Arkham City. I didn't notice any stuttering and also didn't notice any lag. They now have L.A. Noire: The Complete Edition but I haven't tried it since there is no demo for it. There is a Play Pass where you can play several older games on the service that can be played for $9.99 a month. Some aren't very old but those are usually the smaller simpler games though but a majority of them are several years old.

That always terrified me when I played BF1942; being the only one left, all spawn points taken by the enemy and half your team yelling at you to kill yourself to end the round and the other half yelling at you to go for a flag (to have even the most remote chance of taking one, you'd usually have to go to the other end of the map where there were fewer enemies and that would take so long the first half of your team would either leave or start shouting at you even more loudly).
And everybody would have tons of ideas about how you should do things and get pissed off when you didn't do it.
Since I was often an admin, I always felt I had to do the 'right' thing, there just never seemed to be one.

So I tended to try to go out in the most spectacular fashion (running out in the middle of most of the enemy team and getting off a single long distance bazooka shot that killed an enemy tank parked on a repair pad was my proudest moment in that respect; utterly futile but it looked good).

Apparently I seem to be the only person in the world who can play a game with someone/other people, never win, yet still enjoy myself 100%

Winning is cool and all but when I play a game with other people it is to have fun, winning is only a bonus. Try your best to win of course, but if we lose? so what?

I don't play to win, I play to play with you/others and have fun.

Rift and Second Life deliver FPS even with maxed out video settings that far exceed what I saw with minimal graphics settings on the old box. Yay!

Finished Mass Effect 1 with all DLC and then moved on to Mass Effect 2...only to discover that I already completed that.

As Mass Effect 3 will be out tomorrow and I'm doing a great job of putting myself in emotionally-difficult situations avoiding buying it (although I already caved, I'm weak ) I figured I would play the two pieces of ME2 DLC that came out a couple months ago and I never finished. I didn't get why The Shadow Broker had such a hostile reception as overall I found it pretty good (and the dialogue was some of the funnier bits in the game compared to the emo tone of 2 overall) — up until the end when you get to try and woo Liara again if you had fucked her in the first game.

OH MY GOD THE CHEESE, IT WAS SO EMBARRASSING.

Thank god I get to finally make my Shepard smoke pole in ME3, I can't wait to wash the taste of alien pussy off my tongue.

Been trying to figure out what I feel like playing and eventually settled on replaying Space Zombies and Pirates, but then saw that it'll get a pretty large update quite soon, so it makes sense to wait until then.
Then I installed Alpha Protocol instead, but I'd somehow missed that it was third person and I don't have the patience for that right now.

I think I really just want to play Mechwarrior 3, but it sounds like it's pretty difficult to get it to work on newer Windows (and I suspect 64 bit won't exactly make it easier).
