I've been doing so well at NOT buying new games (damnit even missed preordering witcher for xbox!!) I decided to commit to my health and try to be less sedentary. In the past two weeks, I've been a workout junkie... Then today I spend 5 minutes checking out slu and now I "donated" to Path of Exile and Grim Dawn.

Damn you Claveau!!

If you have the PC version of The Witcher 2 you can update it to where it has the Xbox 360 content and it's a free update.

Sent from a galaxy far, far away using Board Express.

Wow!!! A $1K NVIDIA graphics card.

NVIDIA unleashes GeForce GTX 690 graphics card, loads it with dual Kepler GPUs, charges $1k -- Engadget

Quote:
The GeForce GTX 690 -- and oh yeah, it's packing two 28nm Kepler GPUs! Trumping the recently released GTX 680 as the "worlds fastest graphics card," it's loaded with a whopping 3,072 Cuda cores. The outer frame is made from trivalent chromium-plated aluminum, while you'll find thixomolded magnesium alloy around the fan for vibration reduction and added cooling. Aiding in cooling even further, the unit also sports a dual vapor chamber and center-mounted fan. It'll cost you a spendy $1,000 to pick up one of these puppies come May 3rd, and you'll likely be tempted to double up -- two can run together in SLI as an effective quad-core card. With that said, NVIDIA claims that a single 690 runs 4dB quieter and handles about twice the framerate as a duo of GTX 680s in SLI -- impressive, but we'll reserve judgement until we see it for ourselves.

I bought this game on Steam. it's very rare i'd recommend a game to anyone due to different taste and all( and being lazy). But if your in need of a scifi FPS fix i Highly recommend Binary Domain.

The major deal breaker for some people here would probably be that the game is meant to be placed with voice recognition.(there is an option to disable it and select options i think)

The players talk to you and you have to respond with simple commands "Yes", Fall back" "Charge" " Roger" "Damint". you'll have to play with the calibration a little bit... several times mid battle my voice command registers "I love you" and the others yell me to focus on the battle. or that we don't have time for it right now. There is a list of commands that you can go though the test with... some reason computer cannot register me saying "I Can't"

Surprisingly, I have ended up loving Tera. I really enjoy the combat, and the game really opens up after the starter area. I'm having a great time with it. I don't know if I will stay with it long term, but it is fun. I ended up playing it much more this weekend than GW2, mainly because I did not want to get too invested in a beta char in GW2. The combat in Tera reminds me a lot of Kingdoms of Amalur, and is a pleasant change from the run of the mill mash 1-9 on cooldown MMO controls.

Legend of Grimrock is not the breeze I expected it to be, this isn't something I'm going to be able to wing. I'll have to actually get serious about skill distribution and food rationing. Taking a break and finishing up Sonic 4.

Bought The Walking Dead on a whim at Steam and I am loving it!

Although it's not an AAA game, it's like an interactive graphic novel that kinda reminds me of old CSI games I played eons ago (look at this, can i use this?). But the super bonus is that there is no Laurie or Carol!!

If you like it you'll probably like their Back to the Future series too, same genre.

I'm surprised that with The Avengers movie coming out today there isn't some crappy game associated with it.

So I made the mistake of buying Endless Space on Steam last night. When I came up for air I realized it was 3:30 AM!

It's technically still in alpha (since it's not feature-complete - multiplayer isn't in yet, the current AI is a placeholder, etc) but the game is very playable already. It's about the polar opposite of Sword of the Star 2.

Besides, who can resist playing the Horatio, a race that consists of millions of clones of the same person?

LittleBigPlanet Vita beta now accepting applications | Joystiq

I already put in for it.

Darn.

BioShock Infinite delayed to February 2013 | Joystiq

Quote:
When we announced the release date of BioShock Infinite in March, we felt pretty good about the timing. Since then, we've uncovered opportunities to make Infinite into something even more extraordinary," said Irrational Games Creative Director Ken Levine. "Therefore, to give our talented team the time they need to deliver the best Infinite possible, we've decided to move the game's release to February."

Levine also mentioned in a separate statement that the game will be going dark from here on out, noting it will not be shown at mega events E3 and Gamescom.
There could be some good news because of this according to some analysts. They believe that the Bioshock: Infinite delay was actually done so that they could bring GTA V out this October.

Gamasutra - News - Bioshock Infinite delay could open the door for Grand Theft Auto V this year
