Altitis has struck again.

I was out of the game for approximately 2 weeks (PC hardware issues, replacements, re-images, etc.); not that I can really blame that issue for my altitis.

So, I finally hit 30 on my Sorcerer last night. I'd say the rust from the weeks off is finally gone. Now to get focused and get back to leveling at a regular rate!

Hopefully I can stave off (more of) the altitis.

Sorcerer - Level 30
Assassin - Level 23
Juggernaut - Level 21
Mercenary - Level 14
Operative - Level 13

Then some Republic toons, too, but not going to get into those right now.

I really do love this game.
Bear and I are altwhores, too. Every game we play, we make characters of every class/variation.

My name is Mad Mouse and I'm an altaholic!

A quick question to the people with multiple alts - I'm genuinely curious. One of the biggest reasons I play one class all the way through before starting again is side-missions. Doesn't it get dull playing the Balmorra Arms Factory (or what have you) over and over again in quick succession? The gap between Caffian and Anathem doing it let me forget a few of the details so there were moments of surprise and a few "Oh, hang on..." moments as I was going through it again.

But the Revanite chain more than once a month? Interested as I am in the philosphical position, I'm not that interested in running around the wilds of Dromund Kaas.

Yeah, basically I try to alternate between factions on my alts

I had as many as 25 alts at one point, before I went on a culling spree.

I also like to alternate between Republic and Empire to keep things a little fresher.

Sorry I've been away from the thread for awhile. Hello! Maybe it's time to pick up the Bounty Hunter on Dreshdae Cantina again. I had been leveling some alts on Lord Adraas for the RP aspect of the game.

well i don't have altitis like many do but i do have three toons. i really only consider one of them an alt. my agent is parked for when a friend can play but he doesn't have much time. my sorcerer has become my main. but i really wanted her to sit and gain some rest for a while so i started a bounty hunter to play in between. and while i hate balmorra with a passion reserved for large, bile eating insects, i remember where everythign is when i do it in quick succession and therefore go through it faster.

Well, I had to make a system. I currently have 40 alts playing... 1 server to hold Republic-Female, 1 to hold Empire-Male, 1 to hold Republic-Male, and 1 to hold Empire-Female. The other eight are a mish-mash. Also, I'll have a Jedi Consular that is Lightside, and another that is a Darksider.
I did that with all the classes.
The reason I did all those are the story lines are different for male and female... Seems Bioware doesn't like females to fall in love with other females, males with other males, etc... I wanted to see how far it goes. *wink*

I do love the game.

The side missions go a lot faster and you can choose to ignore the ones that are tedious or are little reward for the effort.

I have alts for each of the classes but have never played my Jedi Consular much after creating it. I tend to skip a side quest on one character but another I will do it. You can skip a couple of side quests on each planet and it doesn't affect your leveling much at least in the lower levels.

I took a bit of a break playing SWTOR but will probably go back to it next week.

The Corsair - Order of the White Lotus

And, I have serious altitis, but I enjoy the game so much that I don't mind repeating quests. I currently have 4 toons about on Balmorra; which, should prove to be interesting.

Couple of things I thought were worth sharing

First is an article at PC gamer that has some stuff about what's coming in 1.2 - the bit regarding the Legacy system......
Quote:
“The species that will be unlocked in Game Update 1.2 are species currently in the game that will become available to classes and factions where you haven’t seen them before,” says Erickson. “New species are in consideration for the future but we don’t have any details to share right now.” Jawa Jedi, anyone?
And the second is a nice handy galaxy map that details all the planets and flashpoints, and shows them in order of level progression

So last night I went through the Dark Temple on my bounty hunter in about 1.5 hours. All 6 quests. If you know me you know that I lag a lot and don't do anything fast in the first place even without lag. So 1.5 hours is a bit of a record. My bounty hunter is my third toon so its my third time through the DT. I knew where everything was, I knew the fastest way to get to it, bada boom bada bing done.

The flip side of this is that I'm not even level 17 yet and I'm done with DK. I really wanted to be 18 or 19 before hitting Balmorra.

I went to Balmorra on my Bounty Hunter at level 16 and on my Sith Warrior at 15. Balmorra is for level 15 to 20 if I remember correctly.

I had no problems at that level when I went there but later I left Balmorra and went to Nar Shadda to go up a couple of levels before gong back to finish quests.

You could maybe PvP or do space missions for a couple of levels?

I did a chunk of Balmorra then decided there was too much running - so I PvPed and spaced my way from 19 to 25 to get my speeder and really, it didn't take too long at all.

Also meant I had enough Warzone commendations to get me and my companion the full sets of level 20 PvP armour - which a) looked good and b) my companion was able to use all the way to 50 with a few mod upgrades

I'm... a little... did I miss something?

It felt like Nar Shaddaa went by in a flash. I mean, I still have three Heroics (Terminal, Pound, Vrlbiters) to plough through, but it seems like I'm ready to move onto the next planet.

No bonus series?

there is.. but at least on Empire side the Bonus Series starts at like level 30 or something.. so you end up getting it when you return to Nar Shaddaa later in the game..

There are a few bonus series that i remember being that way. You didn't get them right away after clearing a planet, but later on they turned up.
