For folks playing the PC version of Borderlands, you can save a screenshot of a weapon's item card by right-clicking on the weapon in inventory and choosing "Save Screenshot". They go to your My Documents folder under "My Games\Borderlands\WillowGame\ScreenShots".

Here's the current main gun for my elemental Siren:

I picked up this sniper rifle on my first playthrough and I'm desperately hoping to get the higher-level version of it. The damage doesn't really cut it anymore against level 50 mobs and I've since switched to a non-elemental, high-damage sniper rifle when needed.

I almost forgot! If you want to fix the game so it shows more than four lines of text in the item's description, check out this post at the Gearbox forums:

Nobody was more surprised than I was! It is soooooo fun incinerating badguys at long range.
