| Are Sims 3 meshes available? I have a bug to try my hand at creating some Sims 3 clothes. I'm pretty good (not great) with Photoshop and I have Zbrush and Blender if needed. But all I can find are these Sims 2 meshes so far. Anyone know where to find the ones for TS3, or even where I go to find out how to create clothing patterns with alpha channels so I can cut and chop on existing clothes? |

Business: B5IV Roleplay Client: Firestorm | Simple, there aren't any meshes for Sims 3 yet. EA seems to work exclusively with The Sims Resource to develope tools, so if we are supposed to get tools like Bodyshop or Homecrafter to work with - and it's a big "if", some people doubt that EA will allow competition to their very own "pay site" store - those might come from that page. Or like Delphy, admin of ModTheSims.info said, lean back and relax, there are people working on it. Though he said it a little... differently worded. PS: MTS has their own pattern tool. |

My Mood: | You can create meshes for Sims 3 already using these tools Sims 3 Mod Tools However, it's VERY VERY experimental and incredibly difficult, so I'd wait a bit longer until some better tools are developed - even the developers who made these are having trouble using them and so far, all I've seen made is a pair of sunglasses and a body that went a bit wrong. However, you can make patterns already and I've been making lots they are much easier to make and implement into the game, so I'd focus your creative side on them until a real mesh editor comes out

My Mood: SL Join Date: This time: 10/12/2010 Client: A few different ones | I just wish that EA would make the meshing tools available. I don't make any custom meshes, but I sure the hell download a ton of them. No matter what EA puts in their stores, it's never as good as what the custom content creators can come up with. |

The internal tools I used, if I tried to use them now, would be impossible for me as there were no menus and everything relied on you learning all the shortcuts for each function. I would guess it would be the same for EA's in-house tools (when I worked for EA, they were just the producer for our game, not the developer), which would make them difficult for the average user and may actually get them more criticism or give them way too much work to release training manuals for all the tools. | |

My Mood: | A new mesh has been released for Sims 3, but it's just a slight boob job which makes very little difference. However, this means that the modders are getting closer to making clothes meshes! I'll keep people informed when I spot the first new clothes. |

My Mood: | I'm not so sure since someone has made a bandana now (but not released it as it's messing up the textures). I think wings could be applied as an accessory, as you'll notice in the accessory menu, more than one can be applied at a time. I certainly think they will be possible one way or another. |
