Arrow World of Warcraft: Legion

As the previous WoW thread has gotten quite large and we are a week into the Legion prepatch, I am going to start a new thread.

Here's a list of vendors that sell items that replace some of the lost effects from glyph removal:

World of Warcraft: Legion – Secret Glyph Vendors!

I've been fiddling around with the class changes a bit and I think Spriest, UH DK and Boomkin are the ones I like the most. Also Sub rogues didn't turn out as bad as I feared but it's going to take some getting used to. I'm salty about MM hunters, though. Goodbye 300K chimera shots

Yeah I am still trying to get my bearings with the classes. Unholy DK is major improvement, Destro Warlock seems fine, but Shadow Priest felt a bit meh. I'm kind of biding time until the invasion stuff as doing any of the grindy left over repetitive shit from the past year of no new content makes me want to kill myself.

For shadow priest in the pre-patch, I'd definitely recommend Mind Spike in the last tier of talents for dungeons. Stuff just dies too quickly for anything else to really be useful, except Kazzak.

Speaking of which, Kazzak can now drop items up to ilevel745 (maybe higher but I've yet to see that).

I don't like the new 'lootable' glitter effect. Placement seems to be... erratic (the lootable corpse is usually next to, not under the effect) and it lingers too long after a teammate loots something, giving the false impression there's still something there for you, when there isn't.

The boss-loot glow is nice... but the trash loot effect is, well, garbage.

I just cannot be fucked to play whichever spec Icy Veins currently says is best for the pre-patch, no matter how pumped up I try to get. I want to play what's fun, and right now that's pretty much none of the "best" specs.

And I don't caaaaaaaaaaaaaaaare.

I dunno what I'm enjoying right now.

Mostly I'm running lower level legacy content... which means I hate long-cast/single-target abilities. I want Instant/Constant/AoE to clear rooms. This patch removed a lot of that.... though if I put my pet on passive/follow and keep casting [Demonwrath] every 8 seconds, it seems to behave enough like the old demolock PBAoE hellfire/immolation-aura/whatever it was called.

The rotation for demolock hasn't been sitting well with timewalking dungeons. Affliction would be worse, things die too fast. Almost ready to try Destro instead, still tinkering with talents/layout.

And honestly, I haven't even looked at icy-veins yet. The enjoyment I get out of games like this is figuring this stuff out for myself. I've learned from past experiences that my particular strengths/liabilites aren't always compatible with icy-vein's "best" recommendations, and I preform better with an version adapted more to my own play style.

Destro is fantastic for dungeons right now, because stuff simply dies too fast outside of raids for Demo to get the max potential of its demons and for Affliction to even do anything. I went into a mythic Iron Docks as Affliction and switched specs after the first boss because.. no.

Ugh... so ready for them to get on with it!!!!

The only goal-driven thing for me to do right now is my usual old legacy runs for Invincible's Reins and Mimiron's Head.... or WotLK timewalking dungeons to save up for the three toys I don't yet have (Hourglass of Eternity(2000twb's), Will of Northrend(1500twb's), and Grizzlesnout's Fang(750twb's)).

I can't really be bothered though. I'll run a TW dungeon on my 3 lead alts for the initial 500twb quest reward and wait for the WotLK TW vendor to come back around again when I have enough on each alt.

*fidget* I want -new- content dammit. NooooOoooow!

Yeah I'm done with getting all of my alts' auras set up, rotations down, etc so I'm looking forward to my demon hunter in the next couple weeks.

I think I'll pass on TWing for this month, given that it's Pit of Saron time. No thanks. Especially since shit is buggy enough already and apparently two (possibly more) bosses in PoS are one-shotting people. I need at least one of the toys still, but not badly enough to put myself through that.

Yeah, I got all the coins necessary, and the last one is the Northrend timewalk mount, I'll just park my toon with the coin purse beside the vendor spawn, otherwise I've not been able to not just play Overwatch instead.

I haven't played in a while, but went ahead and pre-ordered Legion last week. Reading this thread, and the end of the previous one, I'm clearly going to have no idea what I'm doing when it's released.

None of the Alliance side material really stands out beyond this, but I'd say the nelf chain isn't bad and worgen are funneled right into it.

I tended to level Alliance through the dwarf zones, but the Classic style grind that makes that fast and efficient with practice also makes it pretty boring.

But: gnome hunter! When I have time this fall I will roll a gnome and level it through Ashenvale.

That early Undead quest is pretty good. I did it with my first character, a Blood Elf.

I think Goblins are my favorite race but that starting zone gets old after doing it a few times and you are trapped there.

Yeah but the goblin starter area is the only other place you'll see super models in a playful gasoline fight....

Also that bitchin hot rod you get for the first half.

Honestly, it would be slightly less tedious if they removed that pointless crap with the Nagas from the middle.

Even for just trying out an MMO, no matter how old it is, the first 20 levels indicate whether I want to stay or not.

I had already decided on the Forsaken (Rogue) and will probably pick Worgen (Warrior).

The problem now is getting the right addons and a server.
