I am considering adding a few top level and some subforums to help organize things better - which forums would you like to see? I am considering a Business / Economy forum at the very least.

I'd like for the SC refugee forum to remain in place. It allows us to self moderate our level of exposure.

It'll also be nice to have a Linden forum to host threads aimed specifically at relaying opinions and information to LL. It will have to be well, almost professionally moderated to be effective, so might be more trouble for you than it's worth.

Aye to this one. This would be valuable to LL if we can keep facts as facts, observations as observations, and provide thoughtful input.

It also would be a great place to collaborate on bug study outside of Jira. We can post here more relaxed and free-format, then post to Jira when things become more clear.

Best part is, if the Lindens want to drop by, they don't have to peruse the entire forum. They can just zoom in.

Business/Economy sounds good, you've already go classified and technical. Swanky recipese forum hack as well. I actually kinda liked the article bot thing that Mother had going at SC before the end, maybe a News forum with RSS pulled topics. Don't allow people to create topics but allow them to reply so we can discuss the articles.

I like the Linden idea.

Maybe rename SC refugee to the "zomgwtfetc" thread though? I think at some point it's not unreasonable that the cord be cut; SLU isn't SC v2 afterall.

I don't know if a Linden subforum though would necessarily be any more difficult to maintain than any other contentious LL topic.

Only other thing I would suggest is, that well you have a lot of forums all in the "SLU Forums 2.0" category. Maybe categorize it a little more, like this perhaps:

Hmmm, I like that layout, ZATZAi... I also really like Khamon's idea for a rational LL/SL discussion forum. Sort of a "if the Lindens are listening" type place, but without the excessive whining and praise... "just the facts, ma'am." I guess that could fall under the "General Discussion" category as well.

And I like Flipper's idea of flushing doughnuts down the toilet until it overflows; but I'm not sure how to fit that into the forum lineup.
