I've created a signature for my forum account, and I have the "Show your signature" option checked under Miscellaneous Options, but for some reason the signature does not show up for every message I post. Is there some other option I am missing to make sure the signature always appears?

It only appears on the first post on the page you make

It only shows up once per page, I believe.

Sigs only appear once per page. Having them show up on every post is annoying.

Okay, thanks everyone! I'm such a newb at using these forums that I just assumed I was doing something wrong.

That makes total sense since among other things it has to save a lot of disk space at the forum hosting level in the long run.

I would guess that the sig is only stored in one place, and there's some server code that determines when it's displayed. That's the way I'd do it, anyway.

Thanks for posting the link - I just read the FAQs. Another unique fact I discovered in the process is that when you change your signature, it changes on all the posts you've ever made, not just the ones you make after the change.

This is exceptionally cool! When somebody finds an old thread from doing a search (or whatever) they will have available the latest contact information for the participants, provided those folks have been updating their signatures as they change jobs, move stores, etc.

The more I learn about these forums, the more I'm liking them!
