Chilli ginger chicken with rice.

Fresh chillies from our garden, but not much else. A few herbs.
It's winter here and this weekend is the big working bee to ready the veggie patch for spring. (Russ better bring the hay bales or I will keel him dead lol!)

Can't wait!

Burgerville has a fried asparagus with garlic aioli that is awesome. As in, let's grind up the garlic in big chunks and dump gobs of it in the aioli. I just had some. Om nom nom.

Steak and BBQ chicken!

That may seem a bit unexciting, but me and most of my coworkers live in corporate housing. Having a cookout just isn't practical, so I'm kinda stoked to go to one

You didn't get yure's message? He said he couldn't make it home tonight, and to simply give one of the quiches to Isabeau. Uhuh...yeah..t'is true.

Their pizza sucks but the cheese sticks are pretty good. I sometimes have them sliced only in half, and then build a sandwich out of it with various cold cuts and veggies - it can make 3 or 4 damn good sandwiches.

Tonight I'm having 3/$6 Jacks frozen pizza. For the price its not too bad.

Marie Callender's chicken pot pie. The large ones were on sale for $2 each. The smaller ones were $2.95. Makes no sense at all, but I'm not complaining. Yum!

I'm lazy about cooking so I just chuck stuff in the oven and go do fun stuff, then go get it and eat.

BBQ Tonight!

I have been flipping, basting and baking 4lbs of seared ribs for the past 2.5hrs. There are also some wings on the menu.

Hoping my homemade sauces don't turn out too bad! They seem a bit on the thin side, but taste fairly decent.

Guacamole!!!!!!!!1

I had hidden away three avocados in the pantry to ripen, and then forgot all about them. This also happens to me with other fruit, but usually when I do remember them, it's too late. Anyhoo......... one big bowl of guacamole and tortilla chips coming up!

Shall I add some bacon? Or is that too piggy?

My mom bought me a crock pot and I've been learning to use it. Tonight was my third experiment with it. I put in a pork loin roast with a cup and a half of apple juice some garlic salt and some pepper and slow cooked it for a few hours, then I glazed it with a mixture of ketchup and brown sugar and put it under the broiler for a few minutes - a few too many minutes because it made a lovely black burned crust. Once that was cut off though it was awesome!

Thread Title of the Week
It is too hot to cook so a snack style dinner is in order.

Some nice aged Irish Cheddar cheese.
A Granny Smith apple.
A couple slices of fresh Sourdough bread.
A bottle of Anchor Porter.
