Ha ha ... that one jumped out at me as well!

I just got back from my sister's house to help with the trick or treatin' and you know what we gave to the barely dressed up older teens that had no business getting candy? Stale single packs of wasabi peas my sister had in her cupboard.

Personally, I love chocolate with nuts - but with so many people allergic to nuts, I don't dare pass them out.

This year I have starbursts, kit kats and mini choclate chip cookies. Oh and little packs of pretzles for those that want the salty things.

My favorite candy as a kid was the orange peanut marshmellow things. But I think one reason people dislike them so much is they go stale really easy and taste totally different from when they are soft. Or maybe some companies make better ones than others? I don't like most marshmellow style candies either like peeps. The orange peanuts are denser and sugaryer.

We buy a giant 400g toblerone every year to hand out to "kid who looks like he or she would be most surprised by a giant toblerone".

it's a wonderful tradition, we always get a stunned "i won the lottery!" look.

We must have had 300 kids last night, I almost ran out of candy. Moar boxes of candy bars from Costco next year!

we had the least ever, just 6! .. but our neighbourhood is getting older, whem my kids were small we would regulary get over 100... and on our block only 4 or 5 houses even give out candy anymore so its not a "productive" street.

oh well more candy for me!
