I think they are designed for 100 gravity, which is realistic. Less than 100 is for when you're wearing a bra. That said, the nipples could point forward instead of up.

Ok now that I have spent a zillion hours with demos and finally just pushed BUY buttons cause I'm exhausted...I am meshy!

This is just the start I'm sure but currently wearing a catwa head and belleza isis body. I'm pretty happy with most options while using omega but I'm still not 100% happy with the body skin.



But most importantly now I can shop for the next SLU party!

I have had luck wearing copies of the LOGO Omega makeup/tattoo layer on top of one another. I will activate one copy, apply the makeup I want, then take it off, put on another copy of the layer, apply the makeup I want, lather rinse repeat. I've been able to layer a lipstick, gloss, eyeshadow, and eyeliner. It's a bit irritating to have to take off the other layers before changing something (so it doesn't apply to all layers), but a small price to pay for being able to wear all the other makeup that I want. :-) Hopefully they will change it in the future to be one attachment with multiple layers.

The Adam male mesh body from Absolut Creation (maker of Eve mesh body) was released just the other day. Haven't seen anybody post about it as yet so here it is.

Interesting. The listing doesn't say much on if the skins and layers are standard UV or omega compatible but I'll be sure to give the demo a go.

I'm assuming it uses standard UV. It has its own applier system and a dev kit for it but it's apparently Omega 'ready' as well... just no Omega kit for it as yet.

Daria on the Mesh Body Addicts site says this:

"...lots of built in skins to choose from, however the kit for skin creators is now out so look for appliers from them soon. The body is expected to be Omega compatible (well it is compatible, it’s just up to Omega if they make the kit or not)"

SelinA mesh body - another female mesh body has been announced on the Mesh Body Addicts website too.

"these female bodies have lots of add-ons, including pregnancy versions, which is something that is asked for a LOT – and separate nipple attachment options. The body comes with all kinds of nice features, like RLV, and you can demo them and purchase them on the MBA Sim!"

Wouldn't the Omega kit for the Eve body work? (kinda like how the Slink one works for both genders)

Why not ask in the Omega support group whether there has to be a separate relay for the Adam body? I believe the group is free join.

I've done a little comparison between Adam, Achilles and Slink Physique Male. I've thrown in a couple of pics of TMP just for giggles.

If I had to pick a body... Adam for a truly athletic shape, Slink for the slim average guy's shape, and Achilles for a lean but muscular guy. For my alt? Leaning toward Adam.

Alas, the SelinA MESH body is lacking in an important department:



As you can see, the alpha options, especially around the waist/hips level are...lacking :|

The vertex count is roughly double that of Slink, but the tris are about the same..so, not bad at all. I like. It's better than Maitreya (Which isn't too bad), and infinity+1 better than Belleza, which is a freak of virtual nature in that department.

The upper arms are a little thinner than Slinks, which I don't like for my own shape...but I like my more muscly shape and I can see it working well for a lot of folks.
I don't quite like the waist shape, where the hips flow into the torso..you can see it in the ad images (and on the hud). But that, again, is very personal preference and just my own.

The busty version is -BUSTY-. More so than the Slink Hourglass, which is already quite voluptous, so that version most certainly carters to, ahem, special sizes.

All in all a matter of preference, but the limited alpha options in some areas definitely hurt.

Oh, and if people are wondering about where this is coming from, these are the numbers from the mesh bodies I currently own:

I grabbed a boatload of other demos and added their numbers. Note that demos might have a -slightly- higher count due to 3d "Demo" text parts, but they should not really have any effect on this table. I adjusted them for the only body I noticed where it made a real difference: The Lena Demo text added 2k verts.
I was not sure where exactly to put the Slim Hourglass...sorted by Triangles (Which should have more render impact), the table's fine, but Verts would bump it and the KL Lena bodies around a little.

I also added the Utilizator Avatar 2.0 and the Kemono Avatar. The latter is usually furry themed, but there are human parts, and both are highly popular in the animeish and furry communities. The Kemono beats about everything else, but is of course the most cartoonish.

The numbers are, for the most part, fine. In the ~100k tris for Signature Alice, Maitreya, Salina, Altamura and Eve bodies. But still, really, okay.
Worth two Slink, Abar, KL, TMP Free etc. bodies.

The G.Inc and Belleza bodies though are insanity. And these are the only bodies I would not ever grab (...again), because of their numbers.


EDIT:
If you want to verify the numbers: Develop -> Show Info -> Show Render Info, and then rightclick-select the body. Just note that the default viewer has a bug in the vertex counting, which I have fixed in mine. By default it only counts the vertexes in the last link. The triangles get properly added up in all viewers.
If you want other viewers to have the fix, patches are Here and Here (A fix for the first). Alternatively you can just add the vertexes up on paper after going through the links with ctrl+. (Period)

..I also suggest disabling object outlines before doing this with some bodies.
