I don't think its a lack of men's clothes. I've found quite a lot of really good stuff.

But I haven't found very much good cheap stuff, or good freebies.

The alphamale freebie jeans are awesome though.

Speaking of Alphamale, they're having a 50% off sale on everything in the store until the 1st.

A good place for clothes at good prices is SF Designs. I've also had a little bit of success finding nice male clothes at low prices at Japanese stores (not, obviously, Muism). Try Creator's Pavilion. One store in particular had some (very) cheap clothes I recall liking: Arai. Got some jeans, baseball jackets, and a leather jacket from there.

And ... Random Fashion/The Mode is having a 35L sale on a lot of times (including entire suits), both male and female. Picked up some nice polo shirts and vests, and one of the suits. Very nice. It's here, on both floors of the store, but only for Spring and Summer collection items.

There are some incredibly cheap mens clothes at Mooncat Izumo which I blogged about recently. The style is mostly Japanese-influenced urban grungy punk. Upstairs there's a whole room of freebies and dollarbies, downstairs the "full priced" clothes are about L$25 for a full outfit.

Okay, I'm starting my posting with a necropost. That's probably not a good sign. I just wanted to say that this is the thread I was trying to find last night when I was out on a self-improvement mission. I knew that Beebo was somehow involved in the thread, but if I'd known she had started it, I might have found it before I spent all my lindens. Now I'll have to acquire more loot and make a trip to the mall.

That covers most threads on SLU, so you are forgiven. This time.

I love dan senyurt's line. It's normal attire with good textures for guys who want to be, well, just normal.
