Is that top solid inside instead of the usual outer layer?
I'm looking at the spot where the material touches the skin of the back and up to the chest area. There are no gaps at all, at least not visible ones. Looks interesting.

I have been testing alot of mesh clothes lately, but have found little that i l like that fit my avatar well. I am really hoping they get the deformer to work. I think mesh will offer many possiblilties for clothing that will look better or not possible before.

Yesterday i noticed that some times mesh items just don't show up for me though. I was teleporting around shopping and was wearing some mesh socks. Sometimes after a teleport they would disappear from view although i was still wearing them. Teleport again and them might reappear. Occasionally i will see an avatar with an obvious alpha layer showing but the mesh article of clothing not rezzing. It is so random I don't know how to pinpoint a cause. The possiblilty of disappearing clothes concerns me a bit.

I see vanishing mesh attachments too. I right click where they should be and they reappear. Not sure why it happens.

Oh i haven't tried that. I had the same problem with tiny prims in jewelry before. Maybe it is just the rendering timing out and clicking it restarts it. Annoying but I can live with that.

I've noticed that it can also depend on animations- i often get gaps in items that otherwise fit fine in certain poses, the area on the side of the body over the ribcage is awful for this. its like the line for the alpha is in one place when the garment is made, then the stretching of the avatar's body in poses pulls it up past the edges of garments. there isnt any really good way to plan for that, and its super frustrating also happens around the hips in some sitting/leaning poses when i am wearing mesh pants/skirts.

there is also something strange going on with leg length and the stickyness of the alpha line- i like to tweak my leg length for the outfit i am wearing, and i often find that when i make them longer, suddenly the alpha that fit great before is leaving a gap between my leg and the hemline.
i usually just end up cutting my own alpha for whatever garment im having problems with, but thats not an option for everyone.
not sure what the solution for this is- maybe petite/medium/tall alphas?
but then you get into that same old problem in sl where everyone has their own idea of how their avatar's height measures up, and it often has no relation to what the actual median values to determine those heights would be.

YAY SL DEV, always a picnic lol

More details here.

It is hollow inside but the top end of it is wrapped so it looks better. I still had alpha layer problems, but these have been solved.
