| Senior Member ![]() ![]() | Shops with Flair Because, unfortunately, many of you do their shopping only in the marketplace. I will show what you miss by not shopping inworld. There are loads of lovingly crafted and detailed shops where browsing and shopping is great fun. It concerns me is not the notice of any labels, but only the presentation of well-designed and interresting shops. If one you know something else to see, you are invited to imagine here. I start with the shop "Motorcycle" In the style of a small workshop / garage here find the dedicated biker everything you need for this hobby. Bikes, helmets, outfits, etc. The adjacent garage alone is worth a visit. Made very detailed and coherent. Even some really high-quality freebies are available. Motorcycle is on the Sim Edo Japan which is also styled consistently. Be patient, my english is worst - but I'm blond :-) Here the taxi: http://slurl.com/secondlife/EDO%20JAPAN/84/226/22 |

| Senior Member ![]() ![]() | Yumyum - a really beautiful styled boutique. If you like to browse, you feel almost like in RL - greetings from the great european shopping streets like "Goethestraße" :-) Yumyum has a lot to offer, clothes, jewelry, accessories, shoes, etc. In every small corner all items presented with love. You will land right in the shop, something probably needs to wait until all is rezzed, but then the shopping experience can begin. A little nooks and crannies on the ground floor, but a wide range, set in super scene, upstairs shoes, eyeglasses and even furniture. Even a small roof garden is there. The designer is very versatile, friendly to me personally as I am also not fixed. The few (3) neighboring shops of Yumyum are absolutely worth seeing too. It seems there is no prim limit, everything is very detailed styled. Here the taxi: http://slurl.com/secondlife/itutu/122/108/1001 |

| I prefer shopping inworld. I only use Marketplace as a search tool. Aside from anything else I don't want to make purchases with a Linden-Added-Tax on them. I'd rather buy direct from the creator without LL skimming off a fee. And I have one of the bikes from that motorcycle shop. |

| Senior Member ![]() ![]() | My next recommendation: Astin Miles with Urban Spirit. Some will know the provider of the legendary free textures. I guess thousands of buildings in SL wearing these textures. Unfortunately, Astin has so exaggerated and massively violated copyright - the textures are no longer available. But his prefab shop in a skybox survived. Everywhere the Urban Spirit is felt, everything styled very effective. Astin is a master of trash designs. Thanks Astin's building mania, the shop will change occasionally, but he remains true to his style. Until recently, a gallery was there, but that seems to be just rebuilt. So do not be surprised if my description once should no longer be current. You will land in a typical Astin dark backyard. To find the right way in the dark, pass the guard dog , you will end up either in the room with the many high-quality freebies or in the mainshop with his Urban Trashy Style offers. Everything is perfectly staged, even the semi-inflated sex doll on the sofa Here the taxi: http://slurl.com/secondlife/Shiot/228/170/2008 |

Business: My! Client: Dolphin Viewer 3 | isn't the name of that shop / brand simply "19MC"? anyways, you're right, the place looks way cool. sadly, they hardly answer IMs and do not offer a test ride on the bike they are selling, and if I can't try out a vehicle I'm about to buy I don't give a flying eff on how nice the shop is laid out...

| I much prefer shopping in-world. It's kind of the point of SL, no? The problem with shopping in-world is dealing with all the SL issues we love to complain about: stuff not rezzing, lag, blingtards, etc. I know after an hour or two of shopping I'm honest-to-goodness mentally exhausted. That said, yay for awesome store builds! They make SL a little more fun. |

My Mood: SL Join Date: 11-13-08 | I shop in world primarilly, unless I have a major task ahead such as locating a certain style of build, or a specific item, then I check the Market to get some shop ideas. Oh, and Truth hair. I never go there on a release day, preferring to grab demos from the Market and try them on at home. The Market takes some of the fun out of shopping for me, and besides, shopping is about the only time I get to flounce about like a right diva, and show off whatever look I am donning |

Business: [Pink Fuel] | The marketplace is pretty awesome when you are like me and naked 24/7 (skinning purposes I swear!). But most of the time, I prefer in-world shopping as well.

It was a pleasant surprise, with a nice assortment of riding poses and adjustments. Both the bike and flying modes work well for me, they're easy to control even on the laggy ass ancient hardware I use for SL. I <3 the tinny scooter rasp too. The only real glitch I've noticed is pretty minor. After sim crossings you can appear to be floating beside the bike; it's the usual "default" thing that most vehicles suffer to some extent, but it's exaggerated by the sculpty construction. That said, this has been one of my favorite vehicles for sim crossing because it tends to survive them better than most, even preceding LL's recent attempts to make those work.

| Senior Member ![]() ![]() | Theater, theater ... .... un Jour Main Shop. Very unusual appearance. You will land on top of the greenhouse / glasshouse, surrounded by desert water. The entrance to the huge glass house is hard to find, only with flying you can pass it on the left side. Inside you are standing in a flowering meadow floated easily from the water. There's a carousel, lodges and stages. The whole thing is very theatrically styled. In the cabin, rear left, is the actual main shop with beautifully-made theatrical costumes and paraphernalia. All very colorful designs, detailed and loving. Please also visit the first cabin floor, although it is narrow. On the stage near the entrance you can drape yourselves in several poses as Ophelia :-) Really a spectacular way to present a shop. Here the taxi: http://slurl.com/secondlife/embryo/197/43/40 |

| Senior Member ![]() ![]() | According to the season: Frost Frost is a nursery, plants, grasses and trees are offered. You will land in a beautiful secluded spartan refuge. Now you have 2 options: 1. use the TP straight to the mainshop or 2. use the boardwalk through a beautiful winter landscape, downhill until you reach another hut in the valley in which a portion of the offer is presented. You will find here a TP to the mainshop. By TP you go into a large tree, inside with the actual mainshop. Through 2 tunnels course you will be possible to leave the stump and then stands in the middle of a thriving landscape - the live demonstration of the proposed plants. From the winter landscape to the lush gardens all very effectively staged. Here the Taxi: http://slurl.com/secondlife/alirium/50/243/1002 |

My Mood: | Aw. Just a matter of taste really. Some people show their teeth when they smile, and some people don't. Choices are good and it is pretty awesome that skins now come with so many different options. The work in progress Pink Fuel skin looks gorgeous so far. ![]() Oops, back on topic, I like to shop in world. I do use the Marketplace for search occassionally, but it has become more of a pain with having to log in every time to view anything of a mature nature. I think that fact has decreased my desire to use the Marketplace really. But between the painful inworld search function and the annoyance of having to log into the Marketplace, I guess it comes down to dealing with the least frustrating issue in the moment. |

exactly my point. would be cool if it was possible to animate a smile with your teeth showing a bit but otherwise keep your mouth closed. I think those skins with a bit of front teeth showing are designed with the moment in mind (read: snapshot). They are not made for 24/7 use, or they'd come with braces.
