Looking at that corset site, I'd say the issue with the SL cleavage enhancers meant for a push-up look isn't that the breasts are too together, its that they aren't high up enough. But that is a change in shading that probably can't be done as well with an add-on layer, I would suspect it needs a separate skin. Or, well, a more solid than transparent add-on. And it probably won't look right if you don't also change breast settings.

More seriously, but isn't that exactly the look that you get in most kinds of corsets provided sufficient endowment?
Like this?

Doh!
I didn't see the second page. I think the point was already hashed out. Sorry.

Siyu was the one who told me about this new development.

So apparently LAQ listened to what the people had to say, and made a second attempt.. essentially copying my cleavage and what made it good(and better in some respects) than her original product and seemingly the same thing I did by combining what I had, with what she had. (oh and excuse the shadows on the skin. I forgot to turn shadows off)

They have a much sharper line, because they dont have to worry about tone matching with tinting, and what they did essentially was draw the cleavage onto one of their skins, and then blur-opaque the area around the breasts until when you attach their cleavage enhancer.. you're putting the entire chest of their skin on.

I'm not going to become a drama bomb, or begin screaming about how my IP rights were infringed... but I do feel a bit like the teenager who put her original song on myspace, only to hear it being played by U2 on the radio 6 months later.

I just bought Ayumi's cleavage, and much prefer it to te hard lines on most skin makers' versions. Ayumi's is soft and give's Pix's bewbs the same kind of look her typist can only achieve in a wonder bra! They work perfectly fine on my Laqroki glow skins too.

You cannot copyright AN IDEA, only the specific execution of an idea. So unless LAQ used your texture in their work, your IP rights are not being infringed.

Anyone on the grid who makes their own cleavage texture from scratch, as opposed to ripping off your specific texture, is copying your idea, but not your execution, and there's no infringement involved.

Not even that; cleavage enhancers in SL are ooooold.

Although i think the complaint here is more about how the product in question closely emulates the style, not the generic idea of enhancer itself. But "style" is a very grey area.

With my kitchens, I knew it was a matter of time before they were copied -- and now they have been, by a huge retailer -- but I used the time I had before the inevitable happened, to make mine better and better and better. They can keep emulating me, but they are not going to catch up with me.

i would go to ayumi over laq anyday, not only are her cleavage enhancers much nicer, but the customer service is great.. it was lovely to meet you that day ayumi, (even if you dont remember me hehe), and have a little chat. it made the shopping experience really worthwhile
