2 make-up options make a nice bit of variety... also pubes / no pubes... all my skins tend to be bald cause I just love the variety of hair / wigs I can get (have over 2 dozen, most in fat packs for color selections)

I like the pubes/no pubes, but i also prefer the pubed version to be a "trimmed" more natural looking area instead of a strip

One of the reasons I'm so delighted with the Eloh skin files is that I can now have a natural look without having to use an underwear layer to augment the base skin.

yeah different brows and heavy eyeliner. Options for all skins to have no freckles or any marks on the face. A couple people just released new skins in SL, forgot the one person with the D name but then there was the new blowpop ones which look so good but no option to not have freckles. You think it would be a given they'd make a version of skins with no freckles or marks of any sort on the face to reach more people.

Well, I wouldn't say its more of a given to include a freckle-free version with a skin than it is to include a freckled version. Adding all the extra options with each skin takes a lot of extra work, so its not strange that some skin makers will make skins that are just freckle free, just freckled.

True. The polygons in the crotch area are *very* narrow, though - if you make the bikinis or panties too wide in that area, the texture bleeds out onto the groin and thighs. So you have to either go for boy-shorts or teensy crotches. I blame the avatar mesh.

As for cleavage taking up a clothing layer, it's also true that if you want pubic hair/no pubes you usually have to use yet another clothing layer for the panty or pants layer to emulate the pubic style you prefer.

nah i can make skins and use different layers for freckles so i would definitely make sure it wasn't on one version, to offer variety. I dislike skin makers who put little marks on the face, not everyone wants that.

Sure, its not hard technically speaking. But if every skin has to have no freckles and freckles, and three brow options, and maybe cleavage and no cleavage, then you're talking about 12 variations of a single makeup. Lets say you release 10 makeups. That's 120 skins to do for one tone. If you release four tones, that's 480 skins. Getting all those skins setup, and making demos for all of them, takes a while.

So, no wonder you have to cut out some of the options. From a marketing point of view, having no freckles instead of freckles probably sells better, but I am glad some people choose to go with less popular options too for more diversity.

My big thing isn't on the list. I want a dark skin that isn't gray or orange looking. I see so many darker skins that actually do look gray. Blech

I wear tats so the underwear layer is taken. of the options given, I'd say pubic hair/no pubic hair. What I would really love is to be able to combine my skin with my tattoos into one layer.
