I've been searching most of this evening for really well done allstars. I love love love the ones at Hoorenbeek, but I'm not sure if they are sized for ladies.

Akeyo's shoes didn't really do it for me. Any ideas?

OK.. I can't seem to find Porn Stars in Search or Classified...can you toss me a slurl? I don't see them on OnRez or SLex either.

Search for Urban Bomb Unit - that is the store name. The chucks are called Porn Stars.

They're unisex, but they have a resize script in that resized them perfectly for my (size 0) feet.

I wear 'Kasai Chucks' from Dirty Lynx. They don't have a texture changing edition, and don't come with resize scripts. They do instead come in a number of different sizes, but i did find the smallest size our of four (extra small) to still be a tad on the large size for my av, and the product is not modifyable. They come in a number of different very nicely done textures though.

two other options are Zneeks from Shooz! (reviews here and here) and the chucks from Kari (too many reviews, but they're on Onrez here)

Shooz has some O.K. shoes, like their Skull ones which i bought.

But when it comes to Converse/Chuck style shoes - i don't see why the world is not wearing Porn Stars.

Sure if you are some SL purist and avoid scripted attachments etc., i can understand.

But if you have never seen PornStars or are intentionally avoiding them for some reason, hell, I like them so much I'll be you a pair!

Honestly, as wonderful as the Porn Stars are, I pretty much never wear mine - and I have a pair for each avatar - because I just don't want to wear shoes that say "Porn Star" on the side. Every time I put them on I zoom in to check out their nice details and then I get grossed out by that and take them off. It seriously jars with the image, look, and personality of both of my avatars. I hate it.

I'm interested in people's suggestions for the second-best pair of Chucks in SL, because the "Porn Star" brand really ruins these wonderful shoes for me.

The porn stars are the best in SL period. just go ahead and buy the xtra hi tops, the rainboots, the low tops, and the regular hi tops. Sure itll be about 2000 L$, but itll save you the trip that you will ultimately make to go back and buy it all later.

Yah, having PornStar on the side of the shoe is a turn off to me as well. So... I still love Horenbeek's distressed ones. Anyone know if they resize to fit girls? The creator's profile says not to IM him.

I used to buy my low tops there because UBU didn't have any yet.

The Kasai 'Winged' chucks were a set of well done, unscripted alternatives, so I just went with them and really haven't bought anything since - not because they're all that (clearly something that will do the texture change and resizing would be more flexible), but because I don't really go out and about to shop that often, and my every-day look doesn't really change that much. I might well go ahead and buy the Pornstar chucks at some point though.

The absolutely best chucks I've seen are from Slade and Humby. They have several different colors and are the most realistic I have found thus far.

They have the Vans style slip on, but I haven't seen a laced low top.

Akeyo. The only catch is they're about L$200 more expensive. I think they have more colour options though.

They are no mod and fullbright, but I was able to IM the maker and she graciously sold me a non-fullbright pair. They are about 33cm long, so they look natural on a quasi-natural shape. That's probably why they use invisiprims. I prefer that over having Mickey Mouse oversized feet. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Edit: Having actually followed the link I see they're scripted for resize now!
