SpaceNavigator Support in SketchUp

I've had my SpaceNavigator 3D mouse for 4 years now but I've never used it for anything other than SecondLife.

I'm starting to make mesh homes in Google Sketchup, and my biggest time waster is the awkward keyboard camera controls, makes it impossibly hard to maneuver inside complex geometry.

I know SpaceNavigator supposedly works with Sketchup, but see no options for it even after instating the plugin that came on the SpaceNav's disk. Has anyone done this?

If I could move my camera in Sketchup with SpaceNav like I can in SL, I'd increase productivity twentyfold >_>

The system is called Kuruma de DS (loosely, "Use the DS in the Car"). It allows passengers to use the Nintendo DS to input destinations, and it gives map and even sightseeing info. You can save places where you've been on your DS, too.

OMG! CSI doing Second Life episode

Has anyone else heard about this? Supposedly, they'll be doing a special 2 part episode and hired Electric Sheep to do some neat infohubs/sims.

LL is helping them do it, so it should be pretty realistic, as far as TV goes. And it will really bring SL into the mainstream, hopefully. This should be awesome.

I noticed this on Reddit this morning and thought SLU might like to discuss it: Victor, a Christian man from Oregon, was asked to stop attending atheist meetings after writing about how they affected him in an online journal.

Here is the blog entry where he talks about being kicked out, and correspondence with the group leader about their decision.

2. Do you think it was right to kick Victor out?

I personally think this guy meant well but may have freaked out some people with his journal. I feel a little sorry for him, but I hope he learns how to better communicate next time.

I saw this on the local news tonight and it nearly brought me to tears.

The mother asked the musician (Tyler Gregory) if it was ok for her autistic son Jacob to touch his guitar since he was so taken with it, and Gregory gave his ok. He later said it was one of the most special moments he's had since he started singing on the streets.

Kokoro asked hopefully if there was a mesh corset size that fits petites.. and of course none of my standard or nonstandard sizes do, but a version for petites sounds like a good idea.

Is there a template or something for making and rigging mesh stuff for petites?
The armature is 1/3 size of the full avatar, right? Is it just scaled down? And scaled down from a particular shape?
There are rigged mesh items for petites, so there's gotta be some decent way of doing them right?
