Frank will address a variety of topics sure to be of interest to Second Life residents, including the use of trademarks to build value in a virtual world brand, Linden Lab's trademark policy, proper use of trademarks, and avoidance of trademark infringement.
Frank is a shareholder in the Philadelphia law firm of Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney PC. Frank represents numerous clients doing business with Second Life and other virtual world platforms, some of whom include the Electric Sheep Company, Eros LLC, Peregrine Salon LLC, FireSabre Consulting, LLC and Green Phosphor LLC. Frank was also plaintiffs' counsel in Eros LLC v. Leatherwood et al. and Eros LLC et al. v. Simon et al., the first two "avatar vs. avatar" federal intellectual property infringement lawsuits arising under U.S. law, and a featured panelist at the third Second Life Community Convention.
