Hey ... Just thought I'd put a word in for the Dr. Sketchy's events. If you haven't heard of them before, Dr. Sketchy's Anti-Art School is an event where people get together, chip in a token cover fee ($7 or $10 where we are) and spend an evening sketching/drawing/painting a live model. The models are typically cabaret performers, roller derby girls, drag queens - anything fun. Door prizes are usually given out, and the whole point is to have fun. And drink, usually.

Kill and I have been going to the one near us for many of the past months and we have a great time. She makes amazing art, and I make laughable stick figures and get schnookered to the point I don't care that I can only draw stick figures.

If you're visually creative at all, or just like to hang with people who are, it's good fun.
