Computer-based Musicians: I have two Record beta invites

I finally got into Propellerhead Software's beta program for Record, their upcoming multitrack recording software for musicians. I now have two beta invites to hand out if anyone here is interested; just PM me with your email address.

I've been using Propellerhead's virtual studio called Reason for many years, and in my opinion it's the best tool around for creating laptop pop. With Record they are trying to create a streamlined, easy to use multitrack recorder that will allow musicians to quickly create professional-quality recordings with both virtual and real world instruments. Since I've only just started playing with it I don't have a critique of Record yet, but it looks promising; it certainly is different than any other DAW I've ever used.

Intriguing. It costs more than an upgrade for the latest version of Sonar, so I'll probably stick with the platform I know. I'd be curious to hear your thoughts once you've banged it around a bit.

I havent heard of this new Record tool but OMG I adore Reason! Been using it forever and a day. I loved ReBirth as well, they emulated the 808 909 and 303 sounds so well it was almost like having the real deal minus the looking all cool while tweaking knobs eeep thats not a perv remark pervs!

I have been using Record for a couple of weeks now and I have layed down several pieces with it. I have been a Reason user for a few years now, and have longed for digital audio support without having to rewire Cuebase. I like Record a great deal - and I really think it's a must-buy if you are also a licensed Reason user. The integration of Reason into Record is perfectly done, and since the interface is so much like Reason you will be at home instantly. I especially love that you can use all of the digital audio effects from Reason on an audio input. I had a couple hours of fun with the Vocoder alone. I am looking forward to integrating with my Kore sampler since I generally like the Kore sounds a bit better than one you get out of the box with Reason. I will post more thoughts later.
