| Wish me luck... Im getting all nervous.... I have an audition today for dance class. its t minus 8 hours and counting. Its for a show coming up in 3 weeks and this is the final cuts. I have been practicing but today i just feel very unsure and almost clumsy.. maybe its all in my head.  i feel like i am tearing my hair out......... I think I need a hug lol!

| Good luck! Do you do any positive imaging such as mentally walking through everything you will do, picturing yourself doing it perfectly and calmly? I did gymnastics for years and found that mentally rehearsing a routine as perfect and effortless helped to instill confidence and prepare me for meets. I also tried to not think about it too far in advance so I could converse my energy and be able to step up my mindset for competition immediately before the meet. I hope you have a great audition. |

| Thanks guys! I think I am just realizing that its today and its all hitting at once. It wont be the end of the world if i dont do a flawless routine, but like you were saying, to have the confidence to just go out there and give it my all .. and if i screw up i can just smile it off and keep going... then I know ill be ok. I just hate getting butterflies.... it doesnt help when all my fellow dancers keep talking about how bad they suck and how they are going to blow their audition... that kind of talk is infectious... But at least I have you guys to sound off on. Its nice to get some positivity once and a while! t minus 5 hours... |

| Thanks guyz! I didnt forget my choreography! But I did get a MAJOR cramp half way through the last song. Pshed myself to finish it, and apparently noone noticed I was wincing in pain! Sweet! I also was told that i punctuate my hip accents with my eyebrows... lol.. im soooo cheeky! Hopefully find out in the next few days if i made the cut. Auditiond 3 songs... ill post the results when i know! |

| oh yea... and a question is it possible to pull an abdominal muscle? ive had side stitches before and ive had cramps before.. but this felt like a kick to the side.. from A DONKEY!! Hurt like hell. Believe me .. undulations and mayas are really painfull after you ve been kicked by the invisible donkey. |

| I have always been somehat of a .... ok lets be honest here... i am afraid of people. I would dread everytime I would have to get up infront of ANYONE to do anything. But dance has really helped with that. It has made me appreciate who i am as a person and to love who i am no matter what anyone thinks. When you get into that mind set, you can be confident about anything i suppose. PLus its a whole lot easier to get up infront of ((300 people at this up coming show)) when you arent concentrating on your own personal hang ups. Just smile and be happy and have fun. But a little help from your friends is always a big help too  |
