Ow. We eagerly await pix, but don't hurt yourself!

So RL has severely shoved it's way into the forefront as of late and due to some moving, I had to pack up all my beading stuff and carefully store the various peices of my beloved dress.

Once I have moved and gotten settled, I will pull it all out and start again. This takes a huge bite out of the time schedule that I had planned on but I am still hoping I can debut it in Jan or Feb despite the time set back.

I didn't want to have to start a new thread on this so I am posting this to keep this thread alive, don't ham string me please!

I've started working a bit on my dress again.

I am having issues with beading needles but I have come up with a general game plan for the first stage of beading.

Using pearl seed beads, I will start grouping them in sets of 3 and placing them all in the lighter color area of the fabric.

The pic just shows an example of the beading, that type of concentration will happen in the front, sides and back of the bodice. Then I will go in with the crystals and make the actual design.

I am still working on that design but as soon as we get it finalized, I'll slap it up.

But yay! Finally some progress!

yay! I finally started beading the bodice last night. I got most of the area indicated in the pic above done.

It took me forever to find needles that would be small enough to got into the seed pearls! And the needles are sooooo thin, they are really flexible which makes the beading kinda progress slowly but it's all good. I am still going to shoot to have the dress completed by this winter but I won't be too terribly disappointed if it's not. Thankfully it's only the bodice, the sleeves and the front part of the skirt that is going to be beaded. It shouldn't take too long.

But yay! Progress!
