My Mood: | I am not saying it won't affect all skin makers. Redgrave's skins are of the photorealistic sort so I could hardly replace them with Eloh's skins, and I remember wanting that black ribbon skin from Minnu so badly. I didn't buy it, not because I could find an Eloh mod with black ribbons, but because Minnu's was too expensive. I confess that I never talked to Redgrave about her figures and I am just talking from my own perspective as a customer. |

| im not sure how you would get around that short of starting a group to monitor the distribution but in that case its more work and is still not garenteed but it would slow the biab issue. I know i appreciate them because i struggled with skins for years but your psd's helped me with the creation of my own line..i was able to see it done and the tonal relationship between the templates i truely appreciate you doing it at all. |

My Mood: | I think you should do nothing. I hate that these people do this, but anything you do to counteract them, will have negative repercussions for everyone. An elitist group would just lock out new creators. I point to spore for why drm measures are a horrible idea. I think, ultimately, it has to be accepted that some piracy and exploitation will happen with anything. The only real thing to do is not let it affect you, and trust to the majority of people who are nice and reasonable. I don't think there's anything worthwhile you can do about this.

| Hello Eloh! I haven't had the chance to thank you for releasing the .psd files to begin with. I was petrafied of making skins before I found them, and now I am working on my third skin, and having a blast. The skin in my avatar here is a variation on those bases. I am another GIMP user, I find its functionality far superior to PS, and so I beg you not to release them as AI files. I do like Illustrator, but it would be a huge setback, and a huge financial hit to have to buy it at this point. I think, perhaps a monitered group might work best, if anything. Each individual who now wants to download them signs an agreement to use them within your terms. Or, perhaps, instead of that keep a list of volunteer signers who adhere to your terms of use. That way, designers who are using your textures in an above board fashion can be listed as such, and it could be a boon to them. Perhaps one could go as far as to have some sort of official "Official Eloh User" badge to display (not that wording per se though). That way, the files are still all open, but it would be seen as a benifit to be seen as such, instead of being forced to comply, or the files being no longer available or somesuch. Sorry, I'm at the too much caffiene stage myself, so I hope this makes sense! ![]() |
