Yeah. Same here. I sometimes model for Booperfunk dreadlocks, no cash for it, though as a friend I do get any design I want from her store for free.

I think Sunny would of had great response if she had asked for volunteers. Or was a regular poster who wasn't just here to advertise to us and leave. Think about it. If any regular here asked for volunteers to model we would all probably be jumping at it.

Well yeah. That's true.

And I'd probably still do it for free even if she was even the furthest acquaintance from me if I had the time and was interested in her stuff.

But offering a paid position, and offering it at 20 L$ per hour, that's IMO worse than asking for volunteers. I earned 24 L$ an hour camping back in my newbie days, and the camping chair owner sure as hell didn't demand things of me like a bunch of pictures.

Or when I worked in a RL bar, and someone didn't tip me, fine - no problem. If someone tipped me 1 penny however, that would be something I'd find insulting.

Wow you guys are really mean! I'm just looking for some people to camp outside my store with my clothes on to promote my clothing line and island. I know that Fierce pays 3L per 15 minutes for their models that would be doing the exact same thing. I would supply the skins, since I sell them and it would be more than one outfit.

Well if you actually took the time to get to know us instead of spamming and running you would see that we are an amazing group of fun very supportive people as I have mentioned several times in the past. It's an open forum, which means when you post something people may respond and discuss it. And yea were mean sometimes. If we knew you maybe would be much nicer but we don't. If it makes you feel any better personally I'm much meaner to the junk mail I get via snail mail. I just throw it away without even saying a thing to it. And also the advertisement you are saying we got you to drop. Is it the free spam or were you actually a paying advertiser?

It was to show my clothing line, not specifically for camping. I have tried talking with you people, but it seems like you are all clickish. If I want to have conversations with people from Second Life, I will do it on Second Life, not on an open forum. You tried talking to us people??? I've seen you post several times and it was all ads. Your the only ad poster I've seen so many times I know you by name and I'm horrible with remembering names. No you didn't do anything wrong but when you post things in a forum people do respond, and those responses are going to be honest thoughts and not just butterfly's and roses.

Instead of complaining that we're mean, you could use this forum as many others do. They use it as a place to bounce marketing ideas off each other. Many of our members are extremely successful business owners in SL.

Putting an ad in a forum full of Second Life veterans and offering 20L per hour for "modeling?" Perhaps you could have worded it differently. I know some designers who use "live" avatar models. I have no idea how much they pay per hour. But that's not the impression I was left with when you posted your ad for models. I got the distinct impression that you were looking for models, who'd wear your clothing, for pictures taken by you.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that the impression the rest of you got as well?

Ok, you guys got the wrong impression. So you can drop it now. I'm sorry my writting skills aren't up to par today. I have friends on Second Life that I run my idea's across, I was just trying to reach a wider audience. And I know that people that have been on Sluniverse for a long time and a short time. A lot of people read the ads, thats how I found it in the first place when I was NEW.

And as I said Fierce, which is a big clothing store in SL pays their models 3L per 15 minutes plus tips... anyways, you can go back to your regular scheduled forum...
