Question Whats your slex hits/sales like?

Go to traffic, set it to from the start of this month today (Longer produces an unreadable chart).

Over 10:1 hits to sales?

If the data that slx provides is fine grained enough, try to see if there are correlations between slx searches and inworld purchases as well. I love slx as a catalog, but prefer to purchase inworld.
Then again there are some very cool things inworld that aren't on slx.

Man...Eata...you are making mad sales, and you're getting crazy views. You must be doing really well for yourself. I mean...my biggest traffic days are around 75 hits...how the heck are you getting 200? Wow.

The only reason I make good money, is because my top selling products cost more than the average person can afford.

Good to see the 12th and 13th were dead days for both of us. Must have been SLX down or something.

The views might be ok but the sales are terrible, it is nothing compared to inworld which I dont think really gets a different number of views.

My traffic has historically been low, especially these days since I haven't been putting enhancements on as many things as I used to. I'm sorta limiting myself to putting enhancements either on stuff that sells really well with more visibility OR on new stuff.

Even so, I still get about the same sorta sales, and folks who buy one thing typically either come in world to see more or look for more similar stuff in my profile.

The thing that does get me though is the fact that that little green bar could mean anything. It could mean a $1500 avatar sale or a $0 demo. For me, a demo is more than often the case. I see lots of people taking advantage of SLX in that regard, then moving on to the actual store in world.

Odd how Wednesdays are my biggest views recently by far--the 9th and the 23rd. I wonder why that is? I have 4 items with Homepage Features...but those views are random. Strange how two Wednesdays this month were the biggest view days.

Any rhyme or reason?

I think that views>sales just seems to be the standard. Like Galen said, most people just use it as a catalogue or for otherwise hard-to-find niche items. A lot of people don't want to give SLX the commission, or don't trust the delivery system. Or, if they see enough good stuff, they'll go o a shopping spree later at your store.

Or they don't want to bother depositing money in their SLX account. This has kept me from actually buying stuff from SLX/OnRez in the past, particularly SLX. Finding a kiosk doesn't rise to the level of true pain in the ass, but it's still kind of a chore.

SLX does have its uses, like when you want to buy something as a gift, or rifle through the free or nearly free stuff. Mostly it attaches a name to a product and lets me search out the makers of interesting things, as well as their other wares which may not have been listed

Personally, I don't find the commission or setup a problem at all. I think it's damn easy, and damn convenient. Not to mention my SLX sales now'adays have nearly matched my in-world sales.
