I'm wondering how the SL economy is doing recently. I've been having low sales for a few weeks, as has a friend. And I saw sarah and Cindy with similar stories of woe in other threads.

How are your sales/rentals/visitors/clients/whatever doing recently ?

Mine have dropped but I attributed this to warmer weather and people being outside more instead of in front of the computers. At least that's what I'm tellin myself. haha

Recently? Very well actually, I'm riding on a nice high from the release of Piratey Goodness and it's giving me a nice wake of good times. Stability for me for the past few days has been pretty good too, not too many failed transactions so I guess people are more willing to shop. I haven't been blogged lately but I might try to change that by sending some review copies out and doing some good old fashioned plugging (classified ad and maybe a spot here, I keep saying I'm going to but I keep putting off making an ad).

So all in all, I'm on a nice incline from where I was this time in June.

Edit: Actually, writing that reminded me to check on of my friend's blogs, and she did blog me actually, and Mourna has been giving me some nice pimpage too

. So my good fortune is definitely aided by some good press

SLEX is about the same, and in-world has been picking up a lot lately, which is nice considering it's not even officially "open" yet

Yeah I should have qualified that by saying I haven't release anything new in awhile so that might be a factor as well.

well, the property market was completely devastated. fortunately i saw the writing on the wall and dumped all my mainland holdings over a one week period while i could still get $9-12/m.
this was the third time so ive decided to leave that market to ppl willing to lose their money.
since then i have refocused on furni-foo with bri. we havent launched yet, but those that have tested the products have given great feedback, so i expect it will do well.

I've been meaning to ask... did you guys design the pews at your wedding? Because I really liked the animation and position customizing features.

Sales have definitely picked up over the past week, especially for boxed sets. Individual pieces still sell at a rate of maybe 3 a day but I've seen boxed sets (All products with 100L discount in one box) to almost ten a day.

soo... life is good for now. As long as tier is being made every month I'll be happy. Especially when I've never cashed out since like, forever.

June started out really really slow for me. For a while it was looking like it would be my worst month ever, but it did pick up a a bit despite that, and became my third-best month out of 8.

July has been ok so far, but sales from day to day have been like a yoyo. Having tracked sales per day, it seems like my best days are Sundays, Tuesdays and Fridays, while my worst are Wednesdays and Saturdays, which always have drastic drops. Not really sure why... :/

My stuff is either not the sort of thing people tend to blog about (as is the case with my tree biz) or just too niche (scifi skins, accessories). I had a request for review copies of my av-related stuff a while back from a blogger, but haven't seen any writeups yet. *shrug*

You should try actively seeking them out, most of them hyperventilate over finding a new store that's undiscovered with good quality stuff. I haven't been to Kitheres but I did swing by Organica and nab a tree (I got the bonsai one

) so I'm not sure what sort of selection you have. But a lot of bloggers do do sci fi and alternative stuff, you could try MOOOURRNAAAAAA lol, or one of these folks:

Sai Pennell at Fashion Labyrinth, lovely lady and if she likes it, she blogs it. She's a real sweetheart too and has a professional and chirpy style
Candy Flanagan, has a very unique and colorful style, and an extremely eclectic sense of fashion. She'll pretty much wear anything if its interesting and well made
Genevieve Lutetia who recently started poking around in here (hi if you find this

) does gorgeous and artistic photos and melds blogging with art, your stuff might move her muse

If you have anything androgynous or for "alternative" male fashion, you might want to try Lucas Lameth at Second Soigne. He hasn't updated in a while but might be worth a shot.

The bottom line is, bloggers can't always find you, and you need to find them

It's also extremely worth it to pass them review copies with no strings attached, it's no loss to you and you could have everything to gain if you suddenly find yourself splashed all over Fashion Planet as the next big thing

Up and down all summer. June ended stronger than I expected, but July is lagging badly so far.

Based on the "control" of not releasing anything new so far this year and not changing anything marketing-wise, sales have gone up on average, but the daily fluctuations are insane.

In the past, sales were so disturbingly consistent I thought bots were programmed to buy our stuff on a schedule. These days, while the monthly average is up, I can have almost the worst days in years next to the best days in years.

With new stuff coming out soon in a completely new genre, it's going to take a long while before I get a baseline measurement for how well things are doing, but our not changing anything for half a year has been a good way to tell how things are doing.
