Auction Site Down--No Word Why

The $US auctions have disappeared from the website. Perhaps this has something to do with the fact that winners were not getting their sims delivered as soon as they paid for them, which was always the case in the past.

We are left to speculate why the auction board is empty because LL is displaying their usual horrendous communication skills and are silent on the matter. Maybe if it goes another few days there will be a blog post.

So the mainland price will spike up a bit with no new sims just to crash down more when it comes back and they do a massive full sim flood at auction to catch up.

I just hope their auction gets fixed. Too much time and money wasted waiting for sims last couple of auctions.

I don't recall ever having problems last year before LL decided to change their auction format.

Katt Linden in a blog comment: I’m checking on the auction system.

Sad that it takes us asking about it in a comments section to get them moving on giving us info.

"Massive full sim flood at auction"- gesh don't remind me of last year when we were seeing 20sims/day.

Second day in a row of only 6 sims being released. Maybe it's the new standard. Unfortunately at this point I think the appropriate number to release to avoid depreciation is 0 sims a day. We're getting mighty close to the point where crappy sims sell for only USD750 which is the starting price. Not sure what happens when a sim gets put up for auction and nobody buys it. I think that will be quite a wake up call to the little community of people that regularly bids on sims.

We have a huge land store in the sim Steamboat.

* private estate rentals with strong residential covenant
* cheapest 4 snow or waterfront mainland parcels for sale in the entire grid.

It'll be more interesting when recycled Mainland parcels, that've already been abandoned once, have no bids placed on them.
